studontop Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 A friend of mine is offering to sell me 9471 Uruk hai army at retail price + tax. Is this worth it? Are HDs worth getting at retail? Hulk breakout?architecture studio? etc.. Thanks Quote
spener90 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Studio is worth it. So is the Hulk Helicarrier IMO. The other two are largely about how much time you are willing to wait. Quote
CNH1974 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 As 9474 is going EOL presumably so will its companion set, 9471. However in the UK there are lots going for Quote
supraboy888 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Too many uruk hai armies out there. It can still be had under $35USD. Quote

It will lift, but it will take a while. Its an investment set, not really a flipping set. 9472 & 9746 went EOL in June but there were so many around from amazon UK that the eBay price is only now starting to left but is still way below RRP. chipbee Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Not too worried on 9471 as I think many will be opened to form armies. Quote

supraboy888 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Wait till Saturday to land the 10% discounts $200 - $25 = $175 $200 - 10%(20) = $180 Easy math. Quote
c666187 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 $200 - $25 = $175 $200 - 10%(20) = $180 Easy math. Or you could do the "correct" math: $200 - $20(10%) - $25(GC) = $155 The $25 off of $100 is good thru Saturday. Quote

The 10% discount is not confirmed anywhere. I've seen TRU pull this kind of stuff before, remove the $25 discount, then put the 10% discount. It's all a trick. I'm not going to wait, I'll just buy it now with the $25 discount. Quote

It is confirmed on their website (toysrus.com, im looking at it right now), front page, and even says "combine with coupons and all special offers to save even more!".... Quote

kiltyoneal Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Kmart has 9471 for $12.40 after the $3 off toy coupon. YMMV between stores, but the ones near me all had it for that price and had it in stock. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Crap, I don't have an R Us credit card. This sucks.... Get one - when you open it you get a 15% that also stacks. Quote
