Hi guys,

New to this Lego Investing thing. This is the first one I bought as it ticked a few boxes for me. Licence running out, unlikely to have a better set made (unlike DS rumoured to have a better one), impressive display value etc.

When would you think is the best time to sell these? This coming Xmas? Next Xmas?

All depends on the opportunity cost of one's money or even the storage space at certain time so the best timing for each individual may be different. The price may keep going up in 5-10 years or even longer. It all depends on all aspects (cost, age, stability of other things in your life, liquidity...) of your investment strategy.

How long did that take to retire in the US after it retired in EU?

about a year IIRC. Obviously it wasn't doing "the dance" and everyone , myself included, expected TOO to be done . Point was Europe doesn't always indicate US market behavior .

I agree, we have seen that with SSD, Hobbit, Exo and EEE among others. Still, it´s a useful advance warning system when it works in your favour.

Looks like I'll be cancelling then...I was so happy...
