Val-E Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 And then they say burned charred meat is bad for you. Bring on these burned sausages!Yes, both sets could be investment wieners. 2 Quote
Ciglione Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Yeah.. and still not sure if I should buy a white one for 225€ in my local store...I bought 4 ToO's for 230 euro each last month. Maybe that makes your choice easier. Quote
Val-E Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Yeah.. and still not sure if I should buy a white one for 225€ in my local store...To be Frank, the white gives me indigestion but the black one looks like it will be edible. 2 Quote
Ciglione Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 I meant white 10225Depends if you already have one, or some. Quote
bricklues Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Depends if you already have one, or some. None!! :$ Quote
Val-E Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 None!! :$Even I have 1 to show solidarity. I think in the US you will be safe with that buy in price - in Europe, I wouldn´t bother. Quote
Ciglione Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 None!! :$Then I would advice you to pick it up. Quote
Val-E Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 S.P. NISB is now 320 euros on ebay EU. Going up quicker than TH did - this is not going to end well. Quote
zskid00 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I'm glad I went over a little on my original target number for this one. If it stays sold out in the U.S. I expect it to do fairly well over here also. Quote
Val-E Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Are reseller the only ones buying it now, though? If so it is going to stiff at around 350-375 as paying more than that would not be very profitable. Quote
Vinetu Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Well TBH this is hardly surprising as 320 after fees is about a meager 50€ profit for a reseller if he bought it in say Holland (229€ RRP). Slightly more for Germany. Set like this it's not worth the hassle for less... Quote

TH was also available for RRP and a little more for a couple of months after EOL. Quote
Ciglione Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 This set retired only about two months ago. Be patient. I will start looking to sell mine Xmas 2016 at the earliest. Hopefully it will be at 500 euro after fees by then. So I can make at least a profit of 100%. Quote
Val-E Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 (edited) This set retired only about two months ago. Be patient. I will start looking to sell mine Xmas 2016 at the earliest. Hopefully it will be at 500 euro after fees by then. So I can make at least a profit of 100%.Unfortunately I made a mistake and only got 2 of these with no substantial discounts. This set has a big bonus in that it won´t be remade due to the license issue and I assume that some resellers are now reassessing the value of their stock and when to sell in the light of recent events. The main thing is if the growth and demand are sustained or if it is just a flash in the pan like AA and values stabilise after Xmas........400 euros might be a prudent bailout point - it´s amusing to see a number of resellets that bought my TH´s are now unable to sell theirs for the price they want so sometimes it is important not to be too optimistic or greedy. TigerG Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I think that 500 after fees next X-mas is very very very optimistic...fingers crossed for you. 3 Quote

legogregors Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Mall of America Lego Store had at least two of these on the shelves over the weekend. I left them behind as I was traveling for business. Quote

Were they marked up in price? When I was there in August there were at lot of sets listed above US MSRP. Quote

I feel your pain. I went to Legoland in Atlanta last week and they had every hard to find set available for MSRP. Sucks cause I was traveling for work so I couldn't pick up anything large. But they had 4 ToO's, Red 5's, Death Stars, The big Jurassic World sets, sets, etc... Stinks! Quote
