Miami Bomb Squad Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 If I wait long enough, someone always posts what I wanted to say but more eloquently. Thanks for that. At some point older sets--while still selling--just don't bring the volume of sales that something new would. Consumer fatigue, investor fatigue... it's like saying "The Sorcerer's Stone was a great book and sold well, so why did JK Rowling write six more?" Because consumers--especially fans--expect something new. A new book to read, a new set to build... books and Lego sets are different, sure, but the analogy is there That was pretty eloquent. 1 Quote

S.African.AFOL Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Well keep scooping them up and we will see I guess. It's already marked as retired everywhere except in the US. The quick sellout points more to the fact that its a very small restock rather than to it being super popular. Quote
Guest Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 OK, good luck. I feel like this eol conversation has been going on for over a year on this set. So I guess eventually someone will be right. Quote

Val-E Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Meanwhile, in Europe they are now touching the 300 euro mark and have already passes that in the UK.To put that in context, 10225 RRP 5% less, has taken 10 months to get to the same prices. Quote
