Hello from Aberdeen, Scotland

Recommended Posts

Hi all, Just started using the forums on this site - what a wealth of information. Really looking forward to using this site more.

I have a question - is there anyway of knowing what month the data is based on? i.e - how do you know when the data is updated for the new month.

Thanks

Welcome to Brickpicker!  There isn't a way to find out an exact date that the brickfolio is updated, but it is usually once a month, though sometimes it gets a little off schedule.  It's all free, though, and this is one of the best LEGO investing sites out there.  Hope you find this information helpful!

Welcome!

When you look at your brickfolio page, the graph that shows the value of your collection will show you which is the latest month. The last month (x-axis) is currently October so that would be the month.

Jeff updates the values as fast as he can, but he's been too busy buying Lego in the last few weeks to update the site (haha, joking :)). Some months are faster than others, but it usually takes some time due to the cruddy listings people make. There is no specific day of the month though.

Welcome to BrickPicker. There used to be a header in at the homepage that said information about when it was last updated, but I think it was replaced in favor of banner advertisements. Maybe we could have that info on the Site Stats widget on the homepage?

EDIT: ALMOST forgot to add. Data is updated typically around the middle of each month so you should probably look for an update around the 20th. Data has to be taken from eBay, given to TeraPeak, processed by TeraPeak, then sent to BrickPicker, then uploaded to BrickPicker...Or at least that is what I think happens.
