stephen_rockefeller
So my LEGOLAND has a rule that you have to have a child with you to enter the park. While I see the safety precaution behind this....what about the AFOL who wants to go but has no kids....seems a bit discriminatory. Thoughts?? Sflego86
What about married couples or just couples in general? This seems ridiculous.
bacon1986
That is rather interesting. I don't think I agree, but I will say that Legoland is not very fun without kids. My wife and I stopped by the Legoland in CA for our honeymoon and a majority of the rides do not allow two adults to sit together. I definitely plan on taking my kids there in the future, but to bar others from going just because they do not have kids with them seems a bit overly cautious. TLG knows that a lot of Lego fans are adults and not all have kids to take everywhere with them.

Its called adult day or something unoriginal like that.
arobert125
Where does this come from? I don't see it on their website.
stephen_rockefeller
Where does this come from? I don't see it on their website.a friend of mine who is a die hard AFOL but has no kids asked if he could borrow my little one so he could go check it out, as he had never been to a LEGOLAND before. maybe its just the one where I live at, I didn't have to give up my kid for the day ( don't think I would have anyway) because my buddy found out they were gonna do an adult day later that week. Mos_Eisley
To be clear, this is the policy for the Discovery Centers only, not regular LEGOLAND parks.
stephen_rockefeller
What's a discovery center? Is that part of the park?
CelesAurivern
What's a discovery center? Is that part of the park? http://www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/default-locations.aspx Is there really such a rule for discovery centres? I was planning to hit the one in Tokyo, later this year. Your can find the answer under frequently asked questions: http://www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/atlanta/plan-your-visit/plan-your-visit.aspx Again, the title of this post is very misleading because this only applies to Discovery Centers, not the regular LEGOLAND parks. CelesAurivern
http://www.legolanddiscoverycenter.jp/tokyo/en/plan-your-visit/plan-your-visit.aspx No such restriction for Tokyo, it seems? And yes, topic title is misleading. Btw, does anyone else think "Adult Night" sounds a little suggestive? It's like suddenly the displays turn into adult oriented. The 4D theatre shows soft-core brickfilms.
