Alpinemaps Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Voltron - Defender Of The Universe Submitted on April 11, 2016. Already at ~5700 votes. As a child of the 80s - I *need* this to happen. 8 Quote
HandyHand Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Hurray! Johnny Five reaches 10,000 supporters, just in time for the closing of the next Review Round! 6 Quote
Fenix_2k1 Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 (edited) I suppose this will depend on how successful Wall-E has been. Based on BTTF and GB I think a well supported A-Team Van would breeze through the process. Edited April 28, 2016 by Fenix_2k1 Quote
TheGallows Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Since I first saw it, I've so been hoping they pick J5, so many childhood memories! Quote
Phil B Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Alright everyone, for the love of the Schwartz, please support this project - it has 12 days to get to 10,000 .... https://ideas.lego.com/projects/64334 2 Quote
Phil B Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) And while you're at it - the second spaceballs project can do with some support too (same builder), it has another 215 days to go so no rush: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/104406 Too bad it doesn't transform into a vacuuming cleaning lady .... exciter1 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I think because of the licensing agreement with Lucasfilm, these "Spaceballs" sets could never get made. 1 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Not to mention some of the language and humor. Quote

znjndmawn Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 https://ideas.lego.com/projects/138271 I'd like to ask your support in getting Voltron - Defender Of The Universe by len_d69 reach 10000 votes prior to the first 2016 LEGO Ideas review deadline on May 2. Currently, it has 9266 supporters. 3 Quote

Currently, it has 9266 supporters. So Voltron and Eagle 5 are now tied - Eagle 5's last ditch Hail Mary has gotten it to 9182 supporters with 11 days to go (as of 11:34pm 4/30). Quote
Alpinemaps Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Voltron at least has a long time to try to make it, if it can't clean May 2. It's a lot harder for Eagle 5. Only a couple of days after May 2 and it's all over. There's been a push on Reddit. I'm sure it's been on all the major LEGO sites. Not sure what other marketing can be done for either of them. It's a bummer than May 2 is the next cutoff, just because I don't want to wait another whole review period to then see what qualified and then wait for the results. I want both of these to be reviewed ASAP. Quote
Alpinemaps Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Voltron has picked up another 300 supporters since last night. Just less than 500 left to go. Very curious to see whether it can make these 500 in the next 36 hours. Quote

Alpinemaps Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I'm now obsessed with following the progress on these two sets, to see if they can make the May 2 deadline. I think there's probably about 30 hours left at this point. Not positive what time it closes (Midnight eastern? Midnight Billund?) As of Midnight Eastern last night (about 12 hours ago), here is where we were: Voltron - Defender of the Universe 424 votes to goSpaceballs - Eagle 5 556 votes to go 12 hours later, and here's where we are: Voltron - 9693 votes (307 votes to go) - picked up 117 votes in 12 hours Spaceballs - 9529 votes (471 votes to go) - picked up 85 votes in 12 hours I honestly think this is going to go down to the wire. Don't know if either of them have the steam to make it in before the cut off. I sure hope they can get in at the last minute. 1 Quote

Alpinemaps Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 So, I'm trying to figure out when the voting ends exactly. According to a post on the Ideas Facebook, voting closes at Midnight, May 2, Central European Summer Time, which is in about 3 hours from the time of this post. But, maybe it closes at Midnight, end of the day, on May 2. Which is 27 hours from now. I guess it depends on when you think Midnight for a day is. Is it the last minute of a day, or the first minute of a day? 1 Quote
gregpj Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I suppose this will depend on how successful Wall-E has been. Based on BTTF and GB I think a well supported A-Team Van would breeze through the process. It would but no way Lego supports a project from the A-team. Quote

Alpinemaps Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 It would but no way Lego supports a project from the A-team. I guess that depends if you believe the rumor that there's an A-Team component (level or fun pack) for Dimensions coming. Quote
