JosephMali Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 I loved it too! And I wanted to live in their treehouse. 1 Quote
JosephMali Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 There are more pictures over on the Lego Ideas site. Quote
justapilgrim Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 i voted, why so few votes? makes me think this has more to do with social media/sharing than the actual ideas themselves. Solid entries!! 1 Quote
JosephMali Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 I think a lot of it has to do with social media and spending lots of time promoting the project. I comment more here than on any other social media outlet so that should give you and idea of my social media footprint. So I hope the set will attract people regardless. We will see. Quote
JosephMali Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 The set is so close to trending on the Lego Ideas site. Come on Brickpickers, help a fellow out. Go vote. Even if only because this set would have great potential after EOL (IMO). 2 Quote
JosephMali Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 Thanks so much!!! I am not only five votes away from trending. Just five more. Quote

This is super awesome, but we're all dating ourselves by referencing back to the movies from the mid-70ies. Maybe you need to play it up a bit by referring to the Swiss Family Treehouse exhibit/attraction at Disney World in Florida? Might be a more recognizable hook for most people. 1 Quote
JosephMali Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 True, we are dating ourselves. I was hoping for a little nostalgia. Seemed to work for Ghostbusters (yea, that was more popular). The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse at Disney is definitely a great hook. Where to set it though? That is a little harder. Quote

Go find a few Facebook/Instagram/Twitter Disney fan groups, post your pics and a link to LEGO Ideas, and don't mention the movie, just mention the attraction in Disney World. You should have your votes in no time, seeing the reaction people had to the Disney Castle..... 2 Quote
JosephMali Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 I will definitely give that a try. I am sure it gets thousands and thousands of visitors a year. Quote

JosephMali Posted May 19, 2017 Posted May 19, 2017 Trending now. Thanks. Zero response from the Facebook groups that are connected to Disney. Most have too many rules for me to post anything about it. Quote
CM4Sci Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 I didn't know we could post our own projects too! So here goes.. I've had a project on the site for a little over a year that's gotten a bit of attention in its early months.. but since then it's slowly dying. Basically what it is is a playset designed for one of the iconic games that is on a semi-known online game where people can build games for others to play! I haven't seen many set-like actual PLAYSETS with functions and stuff submitted or make it onto LEGO Ideas so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'd appreciate any support! Even if you don't like the base subject I hope you like the designs of the model itself and the minifigures Link: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/77042 Thanks! 1 Quote

TheGallows Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 (edited) So the fishing store is on its way, the designer RobenAnne has submitted (or will be) a further 4 ideas all along the same theme. Now they look really good and I would love to own the whole 'sea side village' What are people thoughts on Lego releasing more than one project from an single ideas designer? Could this end in a new sub-theme? I doubt they will which is a shame not only from an investors prospect but also as a collector. Any way if you haven't seen them already check them out below, here's the next three. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/b1b76caf-3a23-4272-9474-8cb4981101ef https://ideas.lego.com/projects/5e24daf6-94fb-427d-a67d-4d5d25c76075 https://ideas.lego.com/projects/8f01864e-aa8b-4ed9-9532-f54b0a2dc3cc Edited June 5, 2017 by TheGallows 1 Quote
