sadowsk1 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Just like the title reads, here is the link. 35.80 shipped (depending on if sale tax is applicable where you live)! Personal favorite ship of mine, best price I've seen it at. Happy Hunting! Quote
Studebricker Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I saw that too... not a bad price, but the ship itself is a little underwhelming compared to some others. Quote
dunkers97 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I was going to get this set and I guess I should get it now! Great price!! Quote
TheOrcKing Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I saw that too... not a bad price, but the ship itself is a little underwhelming compared to some others. That is a good price and it is a little underwhelming, which is kind of funny since the ship is an offshoot of the X-Wing. Quote
Rich B Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Great price for a new set! I'm surpirsed it's already discounted that much. Rancor Pit is the same way, new and heavily discounted. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I think the RP is seeing some good discounts because it is so over priced to begin with.....I can't imagine amazon selling a ton when they are 60 bucks, but I bet they fly off the shelves at 44. I was sleeping this morning and missed the deal, o well it will be discounted many more times I'm sure. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Don't feel bad, Stephen. I was late to the Rancor party too. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 What I am really waiting for is the SSD to be 309 again.....now if I miss that one I will be devastated. Quote
comicblast Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 What I am really waiting for is the SSD to be 309 again.....now if I miss that one I will be devastated. If anyone did, it would be devastating! I got to Lego investing a couple weeks after that sale! :( Quote
Rich B Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I too was late to the Rancor party, no worries though I'm sure we'll have another super Thursday or Tuesday again like we had last summer/fall when Amazon, Walmart, and Target were unloading big sets at huge discounts. Ahhh that was a lot of fun, and I'm sure the SSD will hit the $309 mark when this happens again, that is if it happens again. EDIT: I just looked back and we called it "EPIC Thursday" haha Quote
TheOrcKing Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Ah crud. Now the set is back up to $41.23. So much for that deal anymore. Oh well. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Not as good of a deal in the original post but an okay one nevertheless at $40.25. Quote
Tom J Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Any opinions on this after EOL? There are places where It's got a hefty 50% off RRP at the moment, wondering whether to invest in it or not Quote
MartinP Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I have passed up this set multiple times at 30% off. IMO, the set has a MSRP that is too high. There are some exclusive and new minifigures, but there seem to be a lot of common pieces in the set along with some rare pieces. At 50% off, it is hard to lose money. Quote
nolanfan34 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I have 4 that I got at Walmart for $25, and honestly I wish I could take them back. Might keep one or build one, but not sure about the long term value on this one. Quote
sadowsk1 Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Classic ship in Star Wars EU. Might make a few appearances in the new cartoon series Rebels. I like it at half off. Quote
@rtisan Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Ya, they are on Amazon uk right now for 1/2 off. Honestly I won`t touch it personally. Not a nice set, overpriced, and it isn`t really talked about. Difficult to lose money at 1/2 off, so may be worth buying in, but I`d put my money elsewhere. Quote
akohns Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I've passed at these 50% off. Just don't care for it all that much. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 I bought mine at 50% off and wish I hadn't. I think this set is a duffer. Quote
willy431 Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 There are still about 10 of these on clearance for 25 @ my local walmart. I bought 2 and regret it. Built one...it was boring and ugly, and will secret Santa the other one next month at work. Quote
exciter1 Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 This is one Star Wars set that I don't have. I'm waiting to get 1 or 3 under $20. If that doesn't happen, I won't lose any sleep over it. Quote

Built one...it was boring and ugly, and will secret Santa the other one next month at work. doesn't it just kill you that they don't mark them down further. One of my walmarts have 30+ Quinjets for $49 and they've been there for 4 months at that price. I've picked these up for $10, $35, & $40 at Walmarts and Targets and I just wish this store would give up and mark them down again. Quote
stackables Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I would get it at 50%. I don't think I could pass up a set from a popular theme if it was 50% off. My local walmart still has this a full price along with just about every other set. My store doesn't even have the sets priced at their online sale prices. It seems to me most of the star wars sets are overpriced. Maybe lego will start lowering the prices on the next wave of star wars sets Quote
TheOrcKing Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I like the ship especially considering according to the Star Wars universe it was the predecessor to the current X-wing. I'm not much for Pong Krell but the minifigure is done well so I'll give Lego that and the two clone guys from the 501st are cool as usual. It is overpriced but half off for a pretty cool spacecraft that anyone bored with 'yet another X-wing' would want sounds good. Quote
