hanun1002 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Most everyone believes the Funhouse Escape to be a good winner and I can't really see it sticking around for much longer. Appreciate for your opinion. So it is ok to buy it at the retail price. hmm.. BTW is it LEGO Shop at Home exclusive? Quote
hanun1002 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 It is a great little set. Definitely worth having around. I will pull the trigger Thanks! Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 "Sold Out" in UK but, not "Retired Product" yet. Nice set but, not cheap enough for me to bite yet. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Appreciate for your opinion. So it is ok to buy it at the retail price. hmm.. BTW is it S@H exclusive? Here in the US it is a Toys R Us exclusive. It would be best to buy it from Shop-at-Home all the same at retail instead of Toys R Us' idea of a list price. Quote
terrymc4677 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Buy two from shop at home so you qualify for free shipping. Toysrus retail is 54.99. Shop at home is 39.99, so unless TRU has a bogo sale going on avoid them at all costs. Quote
lowillsw Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Everyone loves this set. Back up the truck if you not a contrarian. Quote
Bernard74 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Is it worth of buying 6857 at 39.99 from LEGO Shop at Home? Wonder if its too early to buy it now. It has been tagged as Hard to Find item for long. I am still struggling whether to buy it or not. What is your opinion on this set? Thanks Definitely not too early, most people think this set is on its last legs. It may be around a little longer in your country, but if you really want it, buy it now and don't run the risk of missing the boat. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 The only thing that worries me about the set is how many investors have stockpiled. But, its a nice set and the figures are really worth a good amount of money themselves, so its worth it to take a chance. Quote
@rtisan Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Others have said that this is set stockpiled quite highly amongst investors/collectors as well. That said, it is a great set. Very good value, and one of a few on the shelf ATM that really makes me take a step back. Lovely set, and worth every penny at retail, though it doesn`t hurt to score some cheaper if you can . I`m expecting, once it goes EOL, that there will be a very large supply for quite some time, as people cash in, but after the initial wave of sales (say 2 years or so) supply will be down, and hopefully then the big money will come into sight. If it wash`t so wells stocked now, apparently, I`d expect significant returns very shortly after EOL. Bottom line, if you don`t mind waiting a while, then buy in. Heck, buy in anyway, did I mention it`s a great little set? Quote
MartinP Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I believe that it is a good set to buy. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 I've not got one of these yet so, I'll hang back and see how it performs. Quote
cissi Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 I had this one in my LEGO Shop at Home cart for some time, waiting to buy on Thanksgiving. But now it's gone, sold out. Quote
super26 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I was at lego store in Fairview mall and the clerk told me that they aren't getting any more of the fun house. Said that its probably going to be discontinued. This is what the clerk at this store told me. Quote
M4x18 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 It's gone. I will get some more at my TRU, saw them last week for Quote

Then the clerk got super excited and was telling me about all the new sets they were going to be selling in 2014. (which we all knew) I was a little bummed out, I've got 19 but wanted a few more before they retired. 1 Quote

Glad you got 19. That's good for you. I only got like 4 of them a few months ago. I was going to wait for November 29 so I could get more to get that free gift when you spent $75 or more. I guess thats not happening now. Quote
Rich B Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 Doesn't someone on this site has 100 of them? I know someone with just over 100, 112 to be exact Quote
@rtisan Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Yikes! Didn`t realize it was gone. Just missed a 20% off sale on them at TRU (expired yesterday), though that brought it to retail. Figured we`de have at least through Christmas haha. Well, I know what I`m doing tomorrow now EDIT: Justing thinking about this for the last few minutes. Is this guy really on the way out? From my understanding of the last couple months, it should have been around for at least some of 2014. 2 year life cycle I guess though, so makes sense. Will see if I can grab a couple more from TRU. legohoarder Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 LEGO Shop at Home now lists this as sold out...could this be it or have things that have been marked as "sold out" come back in stock? Quote
Rich B Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 It could come back, hard to say. Sets that read Sold Out come back all the time. Other times they never return Quote
wholovesboo Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Saw some on the shelves at TRU yesterday... Quote

Until it states Retired product it could come back. Sold out has nothing to do with retirement. Too bad they are not available to buy during today's deal. Maybe next week if we are lucky. Quote
Huskers1236 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Saw some on the shelves at TRU yesterday... $54.99? LOL I see these too and always shake my head. Quote
super26 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Does anyone realize that Toys R US (US) online has funhouse at $59.99USD and limit it to 4 per customer. Whereas, Toys R US (Canada) still has it at $54.99 and no limit. Quote
