There are easily obtainable in numbers sets right now that are retiring this year almost certainly .They will double in price pretty quick. They don't weigh a tonne so easily posted too. I think that SD may sail off into the horizon just before or after Halloween, MM should be good in that theme. Quote
Furious_george Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Very very good. Looks fantastic in box and box art is excellent. Another flagship of a theme which is still available, I've been selling on eBay for $70 above retail(free postage) easy. But, a smaller set in the theme sells better, weighs less and sells for more % wise above retail than the flagship. Lurk that. 1 Quote

I'm more than happy to share tidbits with those who have done extensive research (like yourself) opposed to those who come on here for instant riches. I'm always happy to offer my opinion through PM if anyone wants. Is it possible to do private group messages, that would be one way to keep inside info away from the "lurkers" just need to make sure none of the regular contributors are excluded though. Quote

Let's face it, there are plenty of stalkers everywhere and I'm more happy to post any finds here than anywhere else. Thanks for the IST link. Only problem was once I knew what set was been discussed (ISD was mentioned), it was too late. I'm still happy for the heads up though, i just failed to act on it in time. There are some sets that I have in my sights that I might not discuss, but as far as sales and deals go, I' more than happy to let all Aussie BPer's know about them and I hope others do the same. I can't really see any theme that is worth investing in heavily at the moment (for long term hold), GBHQ would be good for a quick flip at Xmas. JW looks to have flooded the US market, so hopefully the same doesn't happen here. I wouldn't worry too much about JW. Here is Aus we are a different market and we are logistically far away from EU and US. JW just got one drop here and I seriously doubt if we'll ever get another drop of them. Ant Man also flooded the British market especially, but we never got any. I bought a few a couple of months ago at 60 bucks delivered and even at that price it has paid off. Remember everyone, you don't need to buy below retail to make money. However, my strategy is to sell sets once they have retired rather than quick flip (unless it's really profitable). 1 Quote

Agree, everyone has their "cash-out" point. I will happily pay RRP on a set(s) if I know i'm guaranteed to a) get it, and make a profit. Quote

Those are showing some good appreciation. 1 Quote

I for one am relatively new to this forum, but I also see the point of it being to share. Of course there are some secrets some won't ever reveal! That's fine if you work like that. I don't mind the idea of the thread being closed, I think anyone actively participating here should be able to access the same info. Quote

The basis for my little rant was not for the withholding information from anyone in particular, especially those new and willing to contribute. To access this forum, you don't need to be a member of the website, and as a guest, you can nab all the info flying around without contributing. 1 Quote

Which is it? Mine finally turned up a couple days ago. Started it last night but opted to bricklink some parts to make some recommend changes to the gearbox. Not sure why though. Heh. I wouldn't be surprised to see it shipping after August 2 as it has been stating that for a while and been in the top seller list. But November seems too far out. Which is it? This is a trick that can work in your favour, when we had access to the European Stock Inventory (Ours as well) at LEGO Shop at Home if the stock levels were under 50 it would automatically fall display "Back order.XXX" however the item would still ship as physical stock was still available. It's how I was able to flip a ton of JW sets when others thought they were OOS. Quote
