Received a Myer order today, where for the first time they used bubble wrap!

I haven't purchased from them recently, however I have always found Myer and DJs to have the best packaging of any of the online stores. The Myer packers didn't check one box properly as it also had very expensive eye cream amongst the bubble beans. Thats the one time my wife has been happy to pick up the multitude of parcels at the front door.

I had one package a few weeks ago arrive quite poorly packaged from Myer (Palace Cinema). I complained and they exchanged it for a new one, and were very apologetic and asked detailed questions about why the packing was poor. All the sets I've since received have been very well packed.

I had one box with a massive damage where the box was pretty much open, I think i've left it for too long now and can't be bothered complaining, its the lego friends heartlake hotel set and my mum wanted to open one anyway.

Anyone care to help me double check my formula for calculating the price of the MF from the myer sale?
This is what i have in my spreadsheet. This should account for the 30% off sale, plus 15% off staff discount, bought with 8% off gift cards...

=((249-(249*0.3))-    ((249-(249*0.3))0.15)    -   ((249-(249*0.3))-((249-(249*0.3))*0.15)*0.08)

$249 was the price for the mf on the receipt before any discounts.
First bracket is 30% off, 2nd bracket is 15% off, 3rd bracket is just the first two, then 8 % off.
It's saying each MF cost me $136.30 :)

Your final value is correct @brendongl but your formula is unnecessarily complex. You simply need $249 x 0.70 x 0.85 x 0.92.

My last delivery from Myer was a beautifully bubble wrapped Detectives Office. Unfortunately the side had been pressed in before wrapping causing a significant dent. I was sick at the time and have left it too long to do anything about.

I did have a good experience with Click and Collect. On Saturday morning ordered Slave I, Brick Bank and F40 fromBrookside (Brisbane) and picked it up no issues on Saturday arvo.

Target's also just listed the Classic Batcave at RRP ($399), and EV3 for $499. Also noticed Toys R Us has BOGO50% on select Lego lines. Interestingly applies on top of "online only" deals. Most of what I wanted had already gone by the time I noticed so didn't end up biting. There's a few lines that might appeal to some still, though!

Seems big w have 20% off starting Monday. Didn't see much of interest last time I was in there tho.

Target big toy sale starts 20th so I'm told also.

Oh sweet. I'll see if the BigW staff member was correct when she said future sales can be applied to lay-bys. That'd make the Sandcrawler at 35% off RRP.

In other news I'm picking up my first Porsche after work! Unfortunately it's just 42056.

You might get lucky, but I'm fairly sure there T&C's stipulate otherwise. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read this as locking in the price of purchase when on lay-by

"4.2 Just like in our stores, prices for Products change from time to time and we do not provide any notice of these changes. Subject to these terms and conditions, once we have accepted your order, we will not change any prices that apply to the Products in that order."

I'll let you know how I go. She explicitly stated that if it went on sale I'd get the lower price. If you get your money back (minus about $17 in fees I think) then it'd be worthwhile cancelling the lay-by and immediate buying it again. They probably wouldn't let you do that though.

I know everyone probably seen the Scooby Doo lego movie on sale in Big W and Kmart etc. I thought they are supposed to be bundled with a Scooby minifigure? But all i found was none? I checked online ebay and discovered that Region 4 which is Australia, all the dvd pack does not have the minifigure while those like in the UK and USA have them....another let down i guess?

Yep the minifigure didn't get included in the R4 release.

Don't have a link, have seen the catalogue, absolutely no discounts on anything worth getting.

absolutely nothing worth? That is sad considering that they just put out the batcave and the UCS Hoth on the shelves at my local Target.

Yeh the old Hoth set needs some heavy discounting before I even consider buying it. I'm still scarred from all those months of looking and waiting for it to be revealed, and then when it was.......  :/

I managed to get three copies, I stripped them off the Poly. SD interest seems to have died down.

Surprisingly, the R1 version works in our region (well my PS4 at least).

yeah SD interest should be gone by now and i guess some dvd player will be able to play some other region dvd code. On another note the angry birds sets seems to be getting lesser as well, doesn't seem to be replensishing them on the shelf anytime soon.
Oh well i might search ebay for a copy and pray it work on my dvd player if not my old school computer.
