I'm sure you guys are aware of it already, but there is a sale on at the moment and your local Target might be worth a visit.

A lot of items are 30% off. Found LEGO Movie sets, Brick Bounty, Creator Bike Shop/Cafe, UCS Tie (around $209) and others in the stores that I went to.

Heard it from you first mate. So the stores you went to had Bike shops and UCS Tie? My locals haven't had those in a while. Is it a restock by any chance?

Found a lone Kwik-E-Mart today at my local, must have been a lay-by as it wasn't registering on any of the pricing machine systems. I left it as I didn't want to waste time on it.

I picked up a few of the Justice League Cosmic Clash DVD's with the Cosmic Boy minifigures at Big W for $11.20 yesterday, looks like these will be a quick flip on eBay.

I think i'm up to 12 copies at the moment. I have 11 of the Trickster DVDs (all sealed).

The Cosmic Clash DVD's are all gone, almost bought the DVD without the minifigure on the weekend, which would have been a bit of a rookie mistake.

i'm finding it very difficult not to proceed with any orders from LEGO Shop at Home with the double VIP deal that's on at the moment.

i want to stock up on more scooby-doo sets but i just can't bring myself to going through with it as i'm going overseas in a fortnight. arghhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Great deal at BigW at the moment for future Lego purchases.
Till the 16th BigW gift cards are 10% off as advertised in the current catalogue.

If you have an entertainment book you can buy an wish egift card first for 5% off first online and sent to your email (usually within a few hours)
Then go to BigW with the printout, grab a BigW gift card and go to a self service checkout, get the staff member to sort out the value of the card with 10% off and after they have sorted it out then whip out your egift card printout to pay for it using the egift option on the screen.

I think they will only do one gift card at a time through the self service area but you can put a maximum of $500 on the card.
and unfortunately they are only valid for 1 year from date of purchase.

This effectively gives you 14.5% off on top of any sale they have for the next year.

Get the scooby sets sent to a family member in their name if your worried about how long it will take to arrive.
Not sure how much longer they will be available for, they were certainly short lived at retail here.

As for the Tumbers at Target they were listed as 30% off, same with the UCS Tie Fighters but they were like finding a needle in a haystack.

Perhaps Target doesn't have any final order of Tumblers. Sorry gazza

Also they may not be getting anymore Tie Fighters if they had them on clearance at 30% off.

Pretty sure the amount of Tumblers in Target would be in the single digits BEFORE the sale started.

Scoped out the nearest Toyworld to me that is running the Chicken Guy promotion.

Not much of interest and pretty much everything was above RRP, but they did have a lone PR. Asked if I could grab more Chickens given that I was spending more than the required $50 and the cashier willingly gave me 8. I'm not sure where the price will settle with these but was pretty happy with that.

I can't see the Chicken guy pulling big numbers after settling, probably be slightly above red-arm C3PO.

Red Arm is worth about 9 bucks on BSS atm.

That was another Big W debarkle. I got four all up from 3 transactions, but Big W cronysim meant that some lucky individuals got 50.

On BSS yesterday, a guy had a bunch of chickens for 35 a pop and they sold fast.

Yeah good luck to him.

Supply and demand leads me to think that $35 is unsustainable.

Finally had a chance to scope out my hidden gem of a Target store (low socioeconomic area). Found about 10 Brick Bounty and a lone albeit hidden SW Advent Calendar (perfect condition - 30% off). Not much else there but, if the rumoured 50% off clearance is true - I'll know where to go to stock up on BBs.

Hey guys, short time collector, first time investor here, looking for a quick bit of advice.

Having only just got back into Lego and buying waayy too much for the collection already, was thinking of buying a few extras to offset the cost.

The first item I thought might be worthwhile taking the plunge on:

Benny's Spaceship, $104.  Reasonable?
