Still showing as TOO on Lego LEGO Shop at Home. Does that means its making a comeback? Or this is absolutely the last chance that anyone will have to grab one? congratulations to those that managed to snag one before it disappear again.

Was able to grab a Tumbler (finally) but wasn't aware of the R5 :/

Sold one a couple of weeks ago to a gent in the UK and it arrived smashed, he didn't accept it and....well that was a costly exercise.

Ouch! As you have told me in the past, selling internationally is fraught with dangers. I still haven't taken that leap.

Now that 21018 has retired, Ive received quite a few emails on Bricklink inquiring about intl shipping. Whenever I reply with an Aus Post quote, I never get a reply back as it isn;t cheap. Is there a cheaper way to send OS?

R5 is back to retired, I never got a chance on that one. I'm bullish on it, but bearish on the Tumbler.

Agree with your sentiments on the Tumbler, I think it will have an initial spike before plateauing very quickly (in Oz). I only grabbed 1, and will not be overly concerned if the order gets cancelled.

Since I've started, Ive probably sent about 100 items O/S and the biggest issue was a "Lost" Wall-E to South Korea and now the Red 5. Having said that, I find that eBay is an easier platform to sell for Intl purchasers other than BL. I will probably rein in all my listings over 500g to domestic only for a while.

I'm bullish on both the R5 and Tumbler, both sets have spiked 50% over MSRP since retiring a month ago. Both have decent followings and are in the buyers mind with new Star Wars and Batman vs Superman movies to be released this year. Long term the one issue i see with both sets is that there is likely to be more incarnations of them. Though the new x-wings and bat mobile are different they will offer an alternative cheaper set to the older retired MISB sets we will be holding. If i was putting money on it though I think there will  be a new Force Awakens UCS X-wing (Poe's would be my bet) well before a new UCS Tumbler which will keep 76023 on a decent upward trajectory for some time yet.

I found 3 x Ewok Village (#10236) for sale at $289 in a local store today. I see that they are currently unavailable on Lego Shop at home, so I was wondering if anyone has any advice on whether to purchase them or not.

I'm only just starting out buying Lego for resale so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The general consensus is the set will retire at the end of this year. Of course no one knows for sure, and a lot of people on Brickpicker are very optimistic when it comes to sets retiring. In any case $289 is a great price, just be prepared to sit on them a while.

Agreed with Jules_K on the price of $289, as it is almist gone from the shops now. I do see about 4 boxes in a country town target but they are bashed and priced at $329...somehow a bit more expensive? And yeah sit them out a bit longer I guess.

I just realized I made a typo, the price was $389. However the boxes were in mint condition. I spoke to a lady working there and she said that they had had them in stock for quite some time, so maybe it might be worth waiting until they have a 20% of sale and hoping for the best, or could it be worth it a RRP and hold them for 12 - 24 months??

Also what is everyone's opinion on Kylo Rens Command Shuttle?? I'm torn on whether to buy at RRP or wait for a sale.

I skipped on a couple of Millenium Falcons 2 weeks ago, and once I decided that I should buy them they were gone.

Ewok village is currently out of stock at Lego Shop and has been for many months. Furthermore, don't forget the limit is only one per transaction.

389 is retail, and at this stage of its life I believe that that is a good entry price. If I had the 1170 bucks lying around, I'd get them. It's likely to retire soon and I strongly think it'll appreciate well after retirement.

Some people will tell you to only buy at a discount, but I'm of the opinion that this is not always a good strategy. Of course it depends on the theme and set, as well as how long the set has been in production for.

Tardis was on sale at Myer for 20% for about a nanosecond before being bobbled up yesterday. Tough market these days with so many players, or so it seems.

Did anyone have any luck?

Yep getting 2 posted to my po box. Free postage and 20% off.

How:

I went to my local Myer (Chermside, QLD), got the usual story, sorry no stock and no idea if they are getting any more in. However I can see if there are any available on my ipad ordering service.

Ten minutes later all ordered. Now fingers crossed no lard arse at Aussie Post sits on the box.

I was going to say there is a sale on at Target but only on ebay. Which one of you got all the Kwik e Marts on the first day?

Speaking of kwik e Mart, I still have reservations around that set doing well after retirement. Maybe that's why Myer and Target are clearing their stock through ebay - the sales must not have been that great for that set
