Do you guys collect or build at all, or do you just buy with the intent to sell?

I find that I only have room to build small sets at the moment (Ideas, City, Architecture etc.). Have grand plans to set up a Modular street one day but who knows if that will ever happen. With Scooby/Monsters CMF and the Ghostbusters HQ coming soon, a spooky part of town with the HH seems like a must now as well.

I don't think there are many people here that regularly contribute and don't build. I'd say anyone who is not intimate with the product will not be as successful as one who is.

Since coming out of my dark age last September, I try not to spend too much and usually buy smaller or heavily discounted sets for my collection. I like City vehicles, Creator houses, Star Wars and Pirates. I also like the South Korean brand Oxford Blocks, like this 1600 piece Sungnyemun I just built.

SW Advent Calenders at $29 this week at KMart and Big W

Yay or nay?

Never tried to flip these so maybe it's too early but there seems to be a glut of these everywhere I go

Glut won't last forever, and remember that the new SW film is coming out in less than two months.

If you can get em at 29 bucks, I say go for it. That's 42 percent off. I'd say many people have the same idea as you on this set so good luck fighting to get them!

You can try and QF at retail for Xmas or hold them for a year or two and double your money. I can definitely see this one going to 60 bucks within a year or two.

I have a Facebook page that I operate in addition to eBay, there seems to be some interest for these sets for people in the middle of no-where. I have about 3 City, 2 Friends & 10 SW sitting on my shelves at the moment with another batch of SW sitting on lay-by ready for a price readjustment on Thursday ;)

Be mindful though, these sets are sitting at 400ish grams and to adequately protect them in transit is going to push you over the 500g mark. Last year I found that the City ones were the ones that flew off my shelves around late Nov/early Dec. Stay away from Fiends (yes I spelt that correctly).

As ED wrote SW will appreciate over time, but at $29 and a good strategy you can't go wrong.

I rang my local kmart and they've put two aside for me. My budget is blown from double VIP so that's all I can afford.

I'll probably part them out though. Santa 3po should get a good price.

Haha, I know the feeling. Will be relieved when my abundance of JW ship. $$$$

On a side note, I found a lone T-Rex Tracker sitting on the shelf at Big W. It was a cancelled lay-by :D

I picked up the two advent calendars after work.

I shouldn't have bothered with asking to set my 2 aside as they had at least a dozen just sitting there on the shelves.

has anyone started offering 'click and collect' option on their ebay listings?

if yes, what is the take up % of people choosing this option? do you feel it has increased sales and/or increased likelihood of returns/buyers not collecting on time?

Hi, did you buy it for $29? Because my local kmart sell it for $39 and in their catalogue also says $39. Thanks

20% off Target, TRU, Toyworld on ebay at the moment.

They had some TB, PS and PR earlier on but looks like they have all gone.

Poe's X-Wing was $80 earlier today which is close to 40% off. They got eaten up pretty quickly though
