Ryan Junior
Is there anywhere else that is selling Jurassic sets . I kept eyeing them off at Myer - but they sold out slowly.
JeffProbst
I think that the Indominus will be the weakest of the line and possibly a bust. My spider senses are tingling with the Raptor escape for some reason Really? Do you think that's because of the price pointThe raptors are cool but the Indominus Rex is what the movie is all about. Also has the most important figs along with Raptor Rampage.
Alucard1982
Price point would be one, but how many 10 year old boys would have seen the movie?
JeffProbst
Yeah I feel you. 10 year olds won't be doing the buying though and scarcity at retail can only help. This auction also makes me optimistichttp://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LEGO-Jurassic-World-Indominus-Rex-Breakout-75919-BRAND-NEW-/301684872938?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item463dd1d6ea
Alucard1982
Love the panic buy, my base my strategy on the release of the DVD as well, as long as it's Christmas or just before it should do well. But I think that the set will fade.
Jules_K
The demand for Jurassic World is huge right now and there's a supply shortage on the Indominous Rex set, however it will no doubt lose some momentum heading into the peak season and suppliers will most likely see a restock at some point in time. If not, everyones stuck paying full price from SAH for these sets which really hampers any investment potential.
wceagles
Target AU sale now Live - including Ewok Village at ~20% off (limit 2 per order)
Alucard1982
If they sell out online they are also running the sale through their eBay page. Would be a good opportunity to use any eBay vouchers you may have.

I can't see any Ewok Villages left on their Ebay store either.

AFFOL
Ah, dinosaurs versus cute teddy bears. You should not fall for the cute teddy bears for they are overpriced, plus there are plenty of other better exclusive star wars sets to be had such as the imperial shuttle. Still having horrible flash backs to the guy who was able to knab two for $100 each at those drop zone sales at big W.

The ship has long sailed on the Imperial Shuttle, there are none left to be had.
AFFOL
Yes, perhaps at 20% if you intend to sell it. For keeps, I would buy something else. There is something I do not like about it the EV, I had bought one at the toy sales last year and then later returned it to buy the PCafe. Sorry guys, I was using the IS as an example how other SW sets have/are better. Though for a kid, playability may be the marketing point on this set. Have you considered the exclusive tie fighter that will be up for sale in a few days for 239 at target that could also be a good QF @ $60 off. AFFOL
O.K the statistician in me called and have just examined the CARG etc on the EV. MMMMMmmmm, it is possible this set may have/be overlooked by plenty of people like myself. The Town Hall was plenty overlooked with stinky CARGs before it was discontinued, now you cant touch it. Lucifersfury, you maybe on to something. I think...oh no am I saying this I will go down and get an EV, but I will also grab a tie fighter, seen those CARGS for a quick flip B4 xmas. I've made no secret regarding my feelings regarding SW, but I'm thinking I may want an Ev only because I have room on the Big set shelf :) Raked in some fast cash last night (love Halloween bats) so may splurge and get both. Getting closer to my free FW, I'm $200 in VIP points :)

Jules_K
I'm not personally a fan of EV either but this site is about investing, not buying what you like. :-)I don't think it's worth the time or effort to try and flip the Tie Fighter. On Ebay you'll lose money (after fees and shipping) even if you sell it for $300. If you can sell locally I can't see anyone willing to pay for than $270 for it when they can get it brand new from Lego for $300 + $15 in VIP Points. Now we're in the 2nd half of the year money is much better spent on exclusives that are believed to be retiring at year end. JeffProbst
Yeah I picked up two EVs. $289 each after using flybuysCan't see any downside to having these. Even if LEGO don't retire it when the new Hoth Base comes out Edited July 19, 2015 by JeffProbst
AFFOL
Yep, will now be headed down to the local target to scout for the EV location for the morning of the sale if there are any available. But will still consider the tie fighter for at the moment it fits into my investment strategy. If it does not work out, my exit plan is to.....let me think, build it :). AFFOL
15 EV's, no tie fighters, nor Tumblers at my local target. Was told they have sold out.

Bugger, that won't bode well for them, if the ACCC looks into it On a side note, when is the best time to use VIP points, I'm creeping unto $200, and was tossing up whether to unload them into a modular or keep building them up. Last thing I want is the ban hammer assaulting me haha
Jules_K
I've always get the ban hammer at the back of my mind so I try not to let the points accumulate above $50 or so, just in case.
