Looks like it was a risk that didn't pay off

I recall you warning him about that risk as well.

Anyway, the box question was a good one. Anyone have any answers?

I guess if you have some boxes from LEGO then I would normally keep them. If you've got them from bigW then hemm a bit tricky.

For the smaller sets try eBay's packaging (2 different sizes). I always fall back on the bubble wrap/brown paper routine - hasn't failed me yet.

Are you the one who got the loan and cleaned out big w of crawlers ages ago?

Yep i am :)

Living as a digital nomad in Taiwan at the moment, with $10k lego stored at my parents place.
plan was to hold off for awhile before selling them, but a small cash influx would be great right now so im gonna sell 2 or 3.

Yea they were $379ish + the 5% off discount cards. I can sell them all now for a profit of atleast $1000, but i just want to sell one or two.

Has anyone ever shipped a large box like the sandcrawler with just bubble wrap around it? I could also just ask the customer before hand if they care about the box during transit, as i'd imagine only a smaller percentage of lego enthusiasts would keep the box, etc.

Interested in buying two of the SC for $470 George? If i recall your located in WA as well :)

Don't think I've EVER seen a polybag at the shops, but I don't actually go there very often. Too slack .

A bonus from buying from LEGO is re-using their boxes, that's for sure.

Im maxed out man. :)

How do you guys make money off architecture? Even as the lowest price on ebay, I can't sell a UN HQ. EBay sold listings on those are extremely slow going. Puts me off the whole theme

Generally I don't list anything until I have packaging sorted.

I use wine boxes out the front of BWS and cut down to size. Can get larger boxed from Officeworks dumpsters.

Seems everything is slow going at the moment. Can't give the stuff away.

Xmas credit card bills have been sent.
