Prolly less with staff discount. Just now, Alucard1982 said: Looks like it was a risk that didn't pay off I recall you warning him about that risk as well. Quote

Furious_george Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Anyway, the box question was a good one. Anyone have any answers? Quote
kurnitb Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Btw guys have you seen any of the Disco batman polybag anywhere? 1 minute ago, Furious_george said: Anyway, the box question was a good one. Alucard1982 Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Anyway, the box question was a good one. Anyone have any answers? For the smaller sets try eBay's packaging (2 different sizes). I always fall back on the bubble wrap/brown paper routine - hasn't failed me yet. Quote
Furious_george Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I worry about paper and bubble wrap. I received a set like that a while ago and i was unimpressed. Whole corner was mashed. Quote

Yep i am Living as a digital nomad in Taiwan at the moment, with $10k lego stored at my parents place. plan was to hold off for awhile before selling them, but a small cash influx would be great right now so im gonna sell 2 or 3. Yea they were $379ish + the 5% off discount cards. I can sell them all now for a profit of atleast $1000, but i just want to sell one or two. Has anyone ever shipped a large box like the sandcrawler with just bubble wrap around it? I could also just ask the customer before hand if they care about the box during transit, as i'd imagine only a smaller percentage of lego enthusiasts would keep the box, etc. Interested in buying two of the SC for $470 George? If i recall your located in WA as well Quote
Furious_george Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I wouldnt ship this in bubble wrap. Oz post will mash it good. Could try the no box sealed bag route, but you will lose a little coin. Check ebay first tho man. Sales if any, are slow at moment. And no, im not buying your sc's. Quote

Don't think I've EVER seen a polybag at the shops, but I don't actually go there very often. Too slack . A bonus from buying from LEGO is re-using their boxes, that's for sure. Quote

Even as the lowest price on ebay, I can't sell a UN HQ. EBay sold listings on those are extremely slow going. Puts me off the whole theme Quote
Furious_george Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Seems everything is slow going at the moment. Can't give the stuff away. Quote

Generally I don't list anything until I have packaging sorted. I use wine boxes out the front of BWS and cut down to size. Can get larger boxed from Officeworks dumpsters. 2 hours ago, Furious_george said: Seems everything is slow going at the moment. Can't give the stuff away. Furious_george Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 To anyone living near the Oz LEGO shop: can you just turn up to the store and get the batman polybag straight away? Quote
whoisbiggles Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 Set I sold has been sitting at the Australia Post facility in Chullora NSW for 6 days. Nervously waiting to hear that an effing forklift has run over the set. Quote
