Bricklink and you seller’s, ugh. I am trying to buy some Black Knight Minifigures and of course Lego Bricks and Pieces is sold out. By the time you add the armor, headpiece, shield, weapon, and your processing and shipping fees I’m looking at over $12 for just one. I must be doing something wrong or you all or QFLL and Pro-tips?

There’s a thread on Eurobricks for B&P. You’ve got to be watching when Black Knight parts suddenly become available you’ve got to grab them quick. They alert on that thread and they gobble them up. Not complete figs can be put together any one time.

What a plot twist. These girls have to get an education now & the guys suddenly have more money in their pockets, because they can't waste it all on their favorite cam girl who doesn't give a flying flipper about their pathetic existence.

I'd call that a classic win-win situation.

A statement from the Free Speech Coalition on the OnlyFans situation. Link

Quote

This morning, OnlyFans announced that, as of October 1, it will no longer allow any sexually explicit content on its platform. This is devastating for a new generation of adult creators who have used the platform, and others like it, to build businesses, profit off of their own work, and achieve independence.

While many will blame OnlyFans for sacrificing sex workers in pursuit of investment capital and mainstream recognition, we need to be frank about where the true fault lies: with the banks and credit card companies like Mastercard, who have refused to stand up to a misguided and ill-intentioned evangelical War on Porn.

Over the past two years, we’ve watched as groups that don’t believe in the right of sex workers to exist, let alone speak, have maligned and attacked sex workers in the name of saving them. Funded by conservative groups and churches, they’ve amplified poorly supported claims of trafficking and exploitation, porn addiction and child exploitation.

Banks and credit card companies are risk-averse institutions, easily scared by potential bad publicity. Religious groups know this, and have made no secret of targeting them in their quest to eliminate sex workers altogether. In doing so, companies like Mastercard have become enablers of these anti-porn, anti-LGBTQ, misogynist groups. Companies like Mastercard are now accomplices in the disenfranchisement of millions of sex workers, complicit in pushing workers away from independence into potentially more dangerous and exploitative conditions.

The removal of adult content from OnlyFans will not stop adult content. Sex workers, and those in the adult industry more broadly, have learned to survive in hostile conditions. But that doesn’t mean that people won’t be hurt, that lives and businesses won’t be destroyed and that millions of dollars of sex worker income won’t disappear.

In an attempt to preserve their good standing with religious hate groups, Mastercard and other companies have taken on the indelible stain of discrimination. We will not forget, and we will not stop fighting.

This is literally the most backwards & illogical statement I've seen this year, for sure.

How can someone be anti-porn AND mysogynistic at the same time? Porn is without a doubt the most brutal, abusive and destructive male-controlled industry of all time.  Shows once again that these feminists & LGBTQ-advocates don't give a damn about morals or principles, it's all lies. They don't even know who's the real enemy. They're as confused about their movement as they are about their sexual identity.

I wonder if the author is knowingly spreading this nonsense or if he/she/it actually believes it. Hypocritical waste of oxygen.

Without a doubt? Of all time?

Name a legal industry that's worse? I can't really think of one after what I've read about the porn industry. Every crime you can think of, it's all in there.

It looks harmless if you don't read into it. Reddit is full of detailed posts from guys who worked for various sites as editors, casters & actors. It's shocking, I couldn't believe what I was reading. Too disgusting to even talk about it tbh. It was so bad, halfway through I was wondering how Reddit didn't already delete these.

Tobacco and, although it has fallen out of favor due to liability concerns, asbestos.

There was this thing called the Atlantic slave trade was a legal industry for around four centuries and every sane person would agree that was a far more brutal, destructive, and abusive industry than porn. If you want people to take you seriously, you might want to take the hyperbole down a few notches.

Agreed, definitely in the top 3, both affect millions, you can argue about which one is more harmful.

If you want to talk about brutal, back in the day, they was a particular type of asbestos that was mined in South Africa (I believe) that was very fluffy.  In order to package it for shipping, they would have young boys stand in huge bags and stamp down asbestos that was dropped in above their heads to make it more compact for shipping.  Needless to say, those kids didn't have a long life.

Yes, that's straight up slavery. I know that. Do you instantly think of an industry when you hear the word slavery? I think of crimes against humanity. Anyway...

The emphasis was on "male-controlled". The author clearly has a problem with mysogyny but defends porn in the same sentence, which is mysogyny in its purest form.

By the way, I don't care who takes me seriously, as my opinion clearly doesn't match the opinion of the majority on this forum. I could say the sky is blue & someone would reply & say that it's purple, black or green sometimes.

Maybe we could just agree that the Atlantic slave trade and the modern day sex slave trade are both equally bad?  Neither is better than the other?  Neither is a preferred choice here?

Sorry, but we are currently living in a right side vs wrong side society.

This was about Porn, not sex slavery. Do some trafficked victims end up in Porn? Absolutely and it is awful, but that doesn’t mean all of porn is abusive and the vast majority of sex workers on OnlyFans are not victims and actually used the platform to take control of their own careers, which arguably helped protect them from being trafficked.

Yes, I would think that the my body my choice view point should be allowed to apply (in this case, there aren't even any proposed innocent babies involved).

Is the industry mostly terrible, and based on awful (drug addiction, etc.) situations? yes

But should that stop people from being free to choose what to do with their bodies, between consenting adults? no
