That's my first feed every time I go to Scottsdale, AZ. The UK is crying out for a decent burger joint. Rally's in Tempe, AZ ain't too bad either.

In & Out... If any of you are reading this, the UK will welcome you with open arms. We've not had a decent burger here since the Wimpy Kingsize & Big Bender!

All we have is tasteless McDs, have-to-wait-a-long -time BK, greasy 7-bone and those disorganised cretins at 5 Guys. The thing I hate about 5 Guys is that by the time you've queued up and got your drink, some arsehoIe has gone off with your meal that's been waiting and getting cold! I tried twice, it never worked so there won't be a third time. In fact, they're closing some outlets in the UK, good riddance!

LOL. Was thinking, well, In-n-Out will never happen in UK until they change their supply chain strategy...I guess 5 Guys may come to UK first, they're not bad? OK, they're already there and apparently not that great there. Oops.

I don't get out to the west coast so I haven't tried In-N-Out  before. I really want to though.

I do get my share of White Castle though which some people either really love it or can't stand it.

Yeah, I wish White Castle had west coast locations. The freezer aisle stuff in the grocery store isn't bad, but...

I loved White Castle growing up (still do). I don't have any local, but during a trip, I was thrilled to see one and finally get the chance to have my kids enjoy them!

Of course, my kids thought that they were absolutely disgusting - It was a sad moment for daddy, but I guess that's what I get for spoiling my kids with actual food.

Next time you’re in the greater Phoenix area, see if you can find a Freddie’s. They have decent burgers, great fries, and good desserts.

But the best is The Habit Burger. Hands down better than any burger out there.

I’d rank Habit at the top, with In N Out and then Freddie’s behind them. 5 Guys is way way back there. And I grew up eating In N Out. But given the choice I’ll go Habit every time.

Get the Santa Barbara style, which is a double burger, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mayo on a toasted sourdough.

But Habit is like 3x+ IN&Out so hard to compare...my stomach tends to get a bit more picky when I am paying a lot more for something...so I would prefer the In&Out my way for about $2-$3 than a fancy $10 burder at habit...even if I was in it for the experience asa  visitor....if I want to pay for a fancy burger that I can taste a real difference...I'd go to the place created by one of the Top Chef guest judge.  Now that's Worth $20!!!

Habit and In N Out will run you the same. What $10 burger are you eating at the Habit? There isn’t one on the menu.

I’m biased toward Habit because when I started eating there, there were only 4 locations, all only in Santa Barbara (lived there at the time). So I’m happy to see them grow.

But seriously, Habit burgers and In N Out are close enough in price to be comparable.

I love living here in the San Francisco Bay Area but reselling locally is rough! I'm tired of finding boxes large enough for bigger sets, packaging sets up nicely, shipping them, and dealing with online scammers, so I've been trying to sell locally on craigslist, OfferUp, LetGo, and FB Marketplace.

I have sets listed at eBay sold prices less fees and shipping costs, plus a little extra for the convenience. I barely get buyers. For example, I have Pet Shop listed at $160 and Palace Cinema for $170. Have only one person buy Pet Shop without haggling. I have another person offering $300 for both where I kindly countered with $320 since that's retail with tax for retired sets. Person never got back to me. I'm in no rush to sell but it's still frustrating.

Ever been so mad at the fact that Lego VIP points expire that you want to call them directly and threaten to tell all your friends about the bootlegs?

https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/a89sbq/vip_points_can_expire_on_dec31_without_email/

Thanks for posting this! I decided to start a chat with TLG and ended up finding out that a little over $80 of my VIP points are expiring this month! I never received an email either. That would've sucked.

So I was wrong about this. LOL.

Just build the wall already, it’s a safety and humanitarian necessity of all the things for Democrats to oppose, are they really so stupid. How about a tax plan and health bill that actually does something for the rest of us non super rich and addresses the debt, what happened to fiscal responsibility are Republicans really so stupid too. Absolutely ridiculous both sides.

While reading the Liane Moriarty book, The Husband’s Secret, there is the following passage, “Although, in truth, Janie had never been particularly interested in children.  She preferred constructing cities with Rob’s Lego to playing with dolls.”

I read books to take a mental break from the buying, selling and building of Lego, not to get sucked and dragged back into the amazing world of Lego.  Lol!

Having to be at work today because of the government shutdown and working without pay...  Not being with my family because they are with my wife's family.

Essential personnel. Man, I’m sorry. Hoping they do back pay.

If you’re working without pay, you should maybe just quit. Same pay.

I’d never quit. This past year, out of 26 pay periods, I only worked a full 80 hours 3 times. All the other pay periods had a holiday, or I took a vacation or sick day.

Two things:

1.  The 2x BH packaging.  Feel it is like handling an ancient dead sea scroll each time I touch it.  Nearly impossible to keep mint.

2.  A few hundred eBay sales over the last 60+ days and 3 returns.  All 3 from California buyers.  All 3 gave BS reasons for returning.

70+ feedbacks added - 2 were negative and came from California buyers (unrelated to returns); 1 said set "didn't seem new" (it was listed as damaged open box w/ sealed bags), the other said set was smaller than they thought.

I have family in Los Altos and think it's the most beautiful of the 50 states, but dang it seems there are a disproportionate # of fruitcakes on the left coast.
