Crazy isn't it? Sounds like it's pretty bad..

For non-Canadian folks who are curious...

My brother is a first responder in Fort Mac, so he's busy for the next few days.

This is actually a lead story on CNN as well, so it must be big news if the 'elephant' is taking notice.

I just heard about it this morning.  Having first hand experience with wildfires (both from having to evacuate and from assisting first responders), it's always crazy, and always fascinating to follow.  I hope everyone is okay.  Thank you brother for us, for putting his life on the line for everyone else.

I should be finishing sanding the kitchen countertops, oiling them and then prepping for the tile for the sink backslpash. But I sit here surfing the web.....

Hey, hey, hey... I don't see a complaint in that. I should be catching up on some work, but here I am at BP and I'm not complaining. ;)

I'm working at the Dixie Chicks and on BP, do you hear me complaining?

Wait long enough and I'll start though :D

Going to every LEGO forum and seeing pages and pages and pages of forum discussion about 10179. You have one, or don't, and every scenario about this set has already been written.

So if I have one , does it matter if it is bricklinked or not and what % warrants that tag ?? Weight or pc count ? Or should I go with $ value/pc

I think that if you don't have one your opinion or comment on it is irrelevant and should not exist........come to think of it that should be the standard for any set.

At least this one, it's not like it's a new product and discussion has been exhausted on it.

Was out with a few buddies tonight. One had too much to drink so I drove him home. Not before he puked in the front seat of my car. Smelled of Grand Marnier. Dude! At least give me a warning.... So I puked cleaning up his puke.... So bummed right now. I had not even put my weather tech mats back in after they were cleaned so the carpet got it all... Grrrrrr

Is it too much to ask to have one bricklink seller have all the pieces I need with acceptable prices? I hate having to find the seller who has the most (or close to) pieces out of my want list at the best (or close to) price. I do love bricklink though.

Is it completing a set or doing a MOC?

I know this has been mentioned before, but BL's nightly maintenance is very annoying. It got me again

Ugh.  Every night.  Prime end of the night time for me on the west coast.  I can only imagine it's pretty annoying in Hawaii, too.  It's annoying to me because it hits right at that, "well, if I'm going to stop I'm going to go to bed now" time, when I'd rather keep going.

People who argue over the phone while driving in highway, slow down the traffic, and/or almost hit other cars around them.  If the freaking phone calls are that important, pull over and take them, you %R#@!$@! $#!%#$@ %$@%$@ @!# !!!!!!

Selfish and foolish! Assume it wasn't hands free, it's illegal to drive and talk in Canada. Too bad you can't just ring the coppers on em!

This one from this morning was hands free.  I could tell by how she repeatedly smacked the steering wheel with BOTH hands :roadrage:

Not sure if I should direct this to Common Core Math or my daughter's second grade teacher.

This weekend, we struggled with a math problem.  I thought it went one way, but then decided it went another way.

It's not the "show your work" part that I'm annoyed with.  I understand the concepts behind what they are doing and how they have to show the work, and I understand why Common Core is set up the way it is.

No, my real issue is with the problem that she had to solve.  Just doing the problem in my head, I know the correct answer.  But the answer the teacher came up with is completely different.  I didn't cheat and look up the answer over the weekend, but now that it's come back, I looked it up; and discovered I was correct!

So I'm pretty annoyed that the teacher worked it out wrong, and is confusing my daughter.  Especially because I'm already paying for a math tutor for her.  My daughter is an advanced reader, great speller, comprehends a lot.  But math just trips her up.  I don't need her teacher confusing her even more.

So, dear reader, I put the question out there to you.  You don't have to show the work, just tell me the answers:

- 38 fewer girls attended summer camp than boys.  79 girls attended.

1. How many boys attended summer camp?
2. How many kids attended summer camp?
