I no comprende mostly this...

I never stand in line, just drop and go... Only remember 1 package not scanned til destination in last 3 years, and only 1 buyer ever anxious about delays in origin scan. I simply replied with detailed assurance, asked for patience, and all was fine. USPS has at least 99 problems but for me, scanning ain't one.

UPS drives over my packages and FedEx leaves them for neighbors to steal, on the other hand.

same here.  i never just drop off a package w/o getting it scanned in regardless of carrier.  i NEED that initial scan to prove the package is now in the carrier's hands.

i always thought this was like step 1 of "shipping lego 101"

So the last time I checked (a long time ago), UPS and FedEx has always been cheaper than USPS Priority Mail for packages (not counting flat rate). Is that still the case?

I'm the same way. With FedEx and UPS, I also get a receipt after the scan to prove that I dropped it off and the carrier accepted it. I'm OCD that way.

Not really, I trust Joe and Margie to get the job done.

It varies significantly by region, weight and size for me.  I'm in the mid-east, so I know certain rates by heart for closer regions, but I comparison shop for shipping to the deep south or west coast.  I don't ship to Alaska or Hawaii.  I know, weird.  I'll ship internationally through GSP, but I won't ship outside of the immediate 48 states.

Me too. That's why I have to wait in line at USPS and make them scan it and give me a receipt. If I don't they will not scan it until sometimes delivery.

Yeah I found that weird too, but those are exactly my eBay settings ... all countries world-wide except Hawaii, Alaska and GSO or whatever it is called.

What is is with Amazon 3p sellers and sending lego sets horribly packaged, if even packaged in anything at all? I'm done with anyone that isn't FBA. I wonder how many other buyers feel like this...

Unlike with eBay, you can make the seller's live difficult by contacting Amazon about the packaging or the lack thereof

Well had a buyer chickened out 30 mins before pick up after e-mailing back and forth for days. Reason being waiting for 'better moment'.

Then another one with the reason it's son's paying for the item and asking for best discount. I did offer a good price but no deal as he quoted it being available online or in store another €20 off...which I know is BS. He also said he could get it brand new with warranty from store. Haha. Mine is NISB anyway.

Daylight savings

I'm so conflicted by DST.  I *love* that we're back to having it light outside until 7 or 8 at night.  But....now that I have kids, it sucks.  They were up an hour later than usual, which means that they're going to stay up way past their bedtime tonight.

You forget to mention why it sucks: it eats into daddy's build time :)

I didn't care for it before, but like you said, with kids it's much worse. Tomorrow morning is going to be rough. I guess we should be thankful that they decided to make the switch on a Sunday.

Dear TRU,

Why out of all sets have you chosen to make your retail price for 10220 VW T1 Camper Van $149.99, where LEGO's RRP is $119.99. That's a $30 markup. Yes, you have it on "sale" right now for $141.99 but that is still a $22 markup. Why is this only with the T1 - you list the F40 nicely at retail price ($99.99) and same for the Mini Cooper. And why don't you price-match your online assortment, but you do price-match your in-store products? And why don't you have this LEGO set in store?

Love,

Someone with discounted GCs who really really wants a T1 .....

Ebay sellers who promise one day handling time. So I ordered Thursday morning and it still hasn't shipped. That seems like more than one day. But I will be the unreasonable jerk if I leave a neutral feedback. You know, I could have picked the guy that was a few bucks cheaper who had 3 days handling time...
