That's why my travel kit packs one of these: http://www.amazon.com/HooToo-Wireless-Performance-TripMate-Hotspot/dp/B00HZWOQZ6. Most if not all hotel rooms also have a wired connection - that's where this baby goes and voila, I have my own private WiFi network without congestion from other guests, plus a streaming media server (if you put a few movies on a USB flash drive and insert it into the HooToo). Pair this with a Google Chromecast to turn the hotel TV into a netflix watching station and you're golden. Works in the car too - instant WiFi network in the car. They have versions with built-in battery pack as well. EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention this box is smaller than a box of matches. MinifigW
Received this: Good Morning, Please cancel my order. Your shipping rate is way too high, that I'm not paying for this; you need to cancel it. I find it funny that you price it at $34.99 and say " 76022 X-Men vs. The Sentinel -Unbeatable- (Retail price: $49.99)", and then continue to add another high shipping rate to slowly work it up to essentially that same price. Even it it did go for $49.99 retail, wouldn't it be wiser to pay $50 in store for a known commodity and condition, rather than $45 for the same thing to be shipped by a stranger, possibly in a condition that might be crappy. I think so. -Ross Obviously didn't understand that shipping cross country could be expensive, the first really nasty email I have gotten here on BL. My reply: If you feel that way, I will cancel your order. We charge exactly what USPS charges for shipping. in fact, it would have cost us $11.21 to ship this to you so I was going to take the $1.21 loss to reduce your cost. We are not trying to scam you, as you could have deduced from my 100% positive feedback mark here on bricklink from over 200 transactions. Sadly, as a small business, we cannot afford to take huge losses on shipping like Amazon and Walmart do, if you feel the need to shop there for your Lego needs then so. You also had the option to remove it from box to get It under weight threshold, which was presented to you on your invoice. Besides the fact that this is a retired set, so good luck trying to find it in retail stores. Have a good one

Besides the fact that this is a retired set, so good luck trying to find it in retail stores. Have a good one You'd think that people on BL would know better, but perhaps they really do know a place where they can buy this set still for RRP. One bit of advice: Your reply, though accurate, might come over as snarky. If someone asks to cancel, you have 2 choices: you honor the request or you don't. If you honor, I would just leave it at that, or perhaps put in a line like "Please be aware that even though this set used to sell at $50, it is currently no longer available in retail stores. Should you want to reconsider your cancellation request, please let us know.". Mentioning the fact that you are shipping using default USPS rates is fine as well. Maybe they just had a bad day, sent this mail without much thought, and will later on realize that it was a good deal after all. With the right response now from your end, they might come back later with an apologetic email and you still have your sale. None of what I said is trying to justify their email, and on EBay I would have likely blocked this buyer ..... so you're all okay to be at least a bit pissed off about this .... To be honest, I was pretty peeved and it did come off as snarky. I stoplisted him and canceled his order as soon as I was done. No sweat about selling this, I would rather have it sit for another week and send it to a nicer fellow than this guy. If I were to come across this situation again in the future I will use your advice, thanks for your help Edited April 26, 2016 by MinifigW

lazuli16
So i finally caved and bought the UCS Batmobile on eBay (not the tumbler ). The seller mailed it built, which is fine. What isn't fine is that the seller kragled a large amount of the set. The listing made no mention of being kragled. Then the seller sends me a email asking me to leave feedback so that they can release the funds. I don't think he's going to like the type of feedback I'm going to leave. Does a kragled set fall under SNAD?

Does a kragled set fall under SNAD? Did they say in the listing it was not kragled? Did you ask via message back-and-forth if the set was already assembled and could be taken apart again, and did they confirm? If yes for any of those, definitely. If not, you can file SNAD IMHO, but the outcome depends on what EBay thinks is right.

I guess the lesson here is to ask the kragled question upfront before bidding.

This is a slam dunk SNAD.

It is absurd for any reasonable person to conclude that a set of building blocks couldn't be fully disassembled unless otherwise stated in the listing. You have a completely defensible SNAD case. exciter1
I drive my co-workers (friends) to lunch almost every day. Yesterday, my "friend" told me that I've finally graduated to elderly driver status. Not cool...

dcdfan
It's almost like Barnes and Nobles chat people are speaking a different language. Pretty sure this one will disconnect too if I have to type "Are you still there?" again... EDIT: They corrected the issue and we're all good now (I believe). Thanks Barnes and Noble! For non-LEGO people at EBay .... not sure. Depends on how you present your case. I would be mad just like everyone else - but make sure you file a proper comment with the SNAD claim.

Ted
You're wrong on that kragled equals SNAD Why is it wrong on SNAD? The buyer bought the set...or Lego bricks so that he can admire the set or later on disassemble the set for other purposes? The seller did not list it properly in the 1st place and not informing others that it was already kragled....
BearCrash
Apparently "to kragle" is a verb these days....

What Migration is saying is "You're wrong on that: Kragled equals SNAD". Likely a quick phone message that lacked the required punctuation for proper readability.
