Dallas20 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I just tried to place an order and noticed the Christmas promo didn't pop up in my cart. I called customer support and they said that they ran out of stock yesterday! Bummer...just sharing the news. Quote
nolanfan34 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Yep, bumped this in another thread as well. I am going to check my local Lego store to see if they still have any, I wanted one more. Quote
StompingFreak Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 My last order just showed up. Inside were two xmas sets. But I haven't had one without a damage box. Its like the wherehouse is crushing them. Stomping Quote
lobo1969 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 My local LEGO store had none yesterday, I was going to buy another HH. Quote
krayzie Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 My local lego store is out of them as well. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 These really haven't sold well at all on Ebay. Quote
MartinP Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I will go to my local Lego store and see if they still have them in stock. Quote
ApesInCapes Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 That's too bad. I'm looking forward to the car more. Quote
metsrock507 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 maybe the price will start to skyrocket on ebay!!!! hooray for me! Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 These really haven't sold well at all on Ebay. Hmm, $15 shipped for a CHRISTMAS item in OCTOBER is pretty decent, especially when base cost is 0. I'd wait until December before declaring it a bust. That's too bad. I'm looking forward to the car more. Yeah, I hate it when they split the bonus like this. Last year with one bonus item was much better Quote

segreto Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I had a pick a brick order yesterday. The bricks have not shipped yet, but I did get a shipping confirmation of the Christmas Tree set. Must have just made it. Quote
wallwebber Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I bought 4 on eBay yesterday for $59.90 shipped. Best price I will get being they sold out on the 28th according to LEGO Shop at Home rep. Buy these now! They will be selling for $25+ very soon. Quote

jaylay Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 the retail on that set here in my LEGO store is $10.99 ... i actually saw the clerk ring it up and then remove it ... being im here in hawaii, the regular retail for the set is about $8.99. dont be shocked if they roll these out on the sales floor sometime soon ... Quote
Brickshopper Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Not sure it is a great investment to BUY these at 15 each I dont think they will ever be worth much more than 25. The Christmas promo from last year was slightly better and still seems to top off at 30 even after holding a year... Quote
JoshTX Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 It was a cool promo but it's not going to knock the doors down from an investment standpoint. This being a seasonal item means you'll likely have that small sweet spot of time to sell, sell, sell, then hold for a full year. Quote
brickolodon Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 These really haven't sold well at all on Ebay. Cause thebrickdude is selling tons of them...Who is that guy? LOL Quote
Anakinisvader Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Just to put this into perspective, last year LEGO LEGO Shop at Home was SELLING the Christmas sets after the promotion. This year I can almost guarantee that they produced MORE and have run out. Hummmm. Hence the lower prices on EBAY because there are MORE sellers. I am predicting much lower prices on ALL LEGO and many many more items available on the secondary market this Christmas season. We will reap what we sow. Quote
TheDarkness Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 We will reap what we sew. That won't be very productive. Reaping what we sow though might be. Quote
Anakinisvader Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 That won't be very productive. Reaping what we sow though might be. Oops, iM a bhad spelluh. Quote
TheDarkness Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I forgot to add the hyuk hyuk to the end of it. I do agree with you though. A lot of these promos are just being stashed by sellers to sell, but if the average consumer has no idea about them then it greatly reduces opportunities to re-sell. Quote
CNH1974 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Oops, iM a bhad spelluh. I was going to mention but I thought I would be shouted it for being pedantic That won't be very productive. Reaping what we sow though might be. Now that line is reminding me of a song that ends with that line. but I cannot remember what it is. This could bug me for days... Knowing me, it would have been released late 80s early 90s.... Quote
jaisonline Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Maybe there is a chance these will be released to be sold at Lego Stores in late Nov / early Dec? Some promos do eventually get sold like anything else if there is a surplus. Nevertheless,It would also make sense to have these at retail when the 2nd set comes out. Quote
