@rtisan Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 The way I look at it is that it is over 50% off canadian even if I get hit with taxes. Exactly. You really can`t lose, and it`s highly doubtful a discount like this will ever surface up here anyway. Quote
CNH1974 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Raise the gates, the Canadians are going to clean us out..... Again :P 1 Quote
lowillsw Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Back up the truck on this one again? On September 30th and October 1st, it was marked down by the same amount for both trains set with the station and extra tracks on AMZN UK. Maybe it's the muscle memory that nobody wanted pay over those prices for the past month? Or is it possible that our redcoat friends across the pond just doesn't like trains? Quote
stinger-311 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 No according to camel. Lowest price on amazon uk for red passenger train. Its not just the canadaians its the Aussies too clearing you out I also thought the Technic Grand prix racer was good value at 47 pound. 50% off retail here after conversion Quote
nolanfan34 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Agree that Technic Grand Prix is a fantastic deal. It will never see that discount in the US, ever. I was sold on that set after seeing it in person, it is awesome for any F1 fan. Quote
Sauromosis Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Wow stinger that's another awesome price, you trying to bankrupt me? Quote

nolanfan34 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 sauro, that's a long hold but a $250 set easy right??? Quote
Sauromosis Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Let's hope so, yeah it came out this year so long hold. Quote
nolanfan34 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I have the same reaction to all of these Technic sets, they are so much bigger than you expect when you see them built in person. The Grand Prix is a great set, plus it is featured in like every Toys R Us on display, had to pick up two more. Quote

DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 The technic Grand Prix racer may be my first technic set I build. Along with the power functions of course. Quote
stinger-311 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Glad I could help I like the Rescue Helicopter, better with PF. I think it can go lower, I would wait till hits 40 pounds IMO. Gotta love BN they stuffed up and sent me an extra Minecraft Nether set for free, plus a red ball thingy that was supposed to be Archy Big Ben, but that just arrived as well. Score! Quote

Plus I already have sold 1 x nether and 1 x village Minecraft is the easiest set to flip of all time. Never in stock at every retailer. One runs out, I buy a bunch from someone else and flip them. stinger-311 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I agree DNIM. Plus here they tend to go over out retail. Not sure how they sell in US or at what price. 1 Quote
kingleonidas Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 any investment value for minecraft? Quote
stinger-311 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I am not sure on investment for minecraft. They are good flippers, but long term ? It is based on a game aimed at young kids, I think more of a fad could be wrong though. Quote
@rtisan Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 any investment value for minecraft? Minecraft should stay wrong as long as fans continue to play the game. I`m not sure about the long term, but you may be able to flip as stinger-311 suggested. They did very last Christmas given the limited supply at the time. They were going for about $100! Quote
