CelesAurivern
Yeah but the biggest WTF is Slovenia is like in the middle of Europe. It's punishment for supporting communism over capitalism. This sorta thing sticks with you for centuries.

remy1492
Alcarin. Most didnt support communism. They were oppressed and enslaved by it. Communism sucked. And anybody who disagreed with the socialist ideals of equality was sent to a camp. The news supported the dear leader unequivocally and freedom of speech was limited to only saying good things about socialist free healthcare, schools and apartments. This is like saying americans deserve the same when only 50% voted for that change. It is not his fault he lives in a post communist country. most com-bloc countries have smaller shops which face mafia style racketeering and bribes. Needing a price increase to products. The larger German chain may have to pay nonEU fees or something, making the price higher. Id add:netflix The Lives of Others. Good movie about all this. I never lived in Communism and neither did any living or already dead human.... because in Communism countries and government does not exist ... perhaps you should actually READ Communist manifesto from Marx and Engels before sprouting nonsense about the matter.... The end price has nothing to do with communism or mafia but mostly about greed and unequal treatment from TLG .... Australia prices are higher than USA because Australia is post communistic country? This is like saying americans deserve the same when only 50% voted for that change. I always claim democracy is the dictatorship of majority over minority but this is not the topic to discuss that. That sounds nice... oh wait, we already have that in Canada, no oppression required! Just kiddin'.... why is it that whenever we talk about pricing differences we end up beating each other up over politics... (Hint: The subliminal message in this post is to move to Canada. Do it.) Anyway, yeah those are pretty bad prices Alcarin. I imagine border-hopping is pretty common to go shopping?

There is only 1 good thing with those prices.... Sets are kept in stores for long period of time.... this March I bought 6 Toy Shops for 50% off (discounted cos being so long in store) down to like

Yeah the problem is stores here like to NOT buy half the LEGO stuff... for example I never seen Mines of Moria in store or ANY exclusives at all with exception of Orc Forge (which is still on the shelves on

sadowsk1
Well, without any sort of obvious conversions or cost comparisons I didn't get a sense of the differences but I didn't feel like doing the math for myself. High prices aren't cool.

High prices aren't cool. You can tell when the Euros price (on sale) is a higher raw number than the USD price. For instance the 16Euro wizard battle - is like $23 USD for a set that costs $13 here. And thats on sale.

I am so annoyed right now had to rant lol Yeah that does suck. It's kind of the same situation here but you can make it work and it (sort of) has its advantages since (in theory) you can also sell for more money because people will be willing to pay more although I'm not sure Switzerland can be compared to Slovenia . Also don't stick to one online retailer and do your research. I don't know Slovenia at all and I don't know if you have many online shops, but what I do is use a price comparator for my country and on a daily basis, check the prices for all the sets I want. It's proven to be a solid strategy as I've made my share of great deals like today, Sungnymun for 34$ each (bought the last two) or a few months back, Technic Unimogs for 125$ a pop.
