Alpinemaps
At the end of the day, both R2 and Arkham are iconic. I don't think we'll see another Arkham for awhile. I won't hit Ed's numbers, but I will make sure I hit my target on this set.
Achilles
I admit, I am bummed about this. I was really hoping the AA would last until after the holiday season. I was planning on loading up heavy on these.

Yeah but Ed doesn't have 2,368 mixels and percentage wise those things will beat AA and R2 for awhile!

Kenxxx
A few days ago these were selling at MSRP on ebay. Now moved up to ~$175-$180. Hmm.
Ciglione
I am happy I am near my target with this set. Wanted 5, have 4 now. I really like it and think it will do above expectation after retirement.

marcandre
That is MSRP $159.95 msrp Dec 14 puts this right at two years. I'm not convinced it's going but I already have quite a few. I certainly would not mind if it does poof.

Alpinemaps
Over on Reddit, they are reporting that AA is Retired on LEGO Shop at Home UK. I can't seem to show it as Retired, can anyone else confirm? Interestingly enough, Brickset is showing it as retired as of 21 Nov for UK only. Ciglione
Looks like it is done. Dunno about the US offcourse.
meowsmeowsmeows
It shows as Sold Out for me when I look at the UK site. But, probably a precursor to retirement. I think the Brickset database automatically lists the dates when it was not in Sold Out status.
mscheaf
I haven't seen any in my Lego store for months and they aren't sure if they will get more. But they still have that display up. I made sure to get a couple from LEGO Shop at Home during double VIP since I had never bought these from Lego yet, the other 4 I have being from various other sources

Kind of surprised, I figured it would be around until the summer at least. It will be very interesting if this does go away right now, makes me wonder if Lego is going to a 2 year product lifecycle on exclusives. I can't imagine they would pull this set because of poor performance.

Well, there is a rumor that chaos is coming... or winter... anyway "expected product lifecycle" will be outdated concept, according to certain hints
marcandre
I could see them pulling it once the tumbler production catches up. One big batman set is probably enough.
