wholovesboo Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 Finally, a nice non-grainy image for that polybag. I came across the listing for that and this other one, Andrea's Beach Lounge. Hmm, I wonder if and when we will ever see a florist modular build or even a full sized flower shop? LOL, I thought my photo of the Flower Shop poly was pretty bad! (Can never get the lighting right on my iphone camera) Does anyone know where the Andrea's Beach Lounge poly is available? I found the Flower Shop above at a Legoland Discovery Center shop. Quote
chinothegeeko Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 As we expected Interesting. Can't wait to find it on clearance in 2 years 2 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 As we expectedSweet! Another "not Toys R Us" exclusive. I found the direct link for anyone to check out. Coincidently, I also found this bootleg brick knockoff of BanBao listed. Seriously Walmart? Then again I have spotted those cheap ass Best-Loc sets in an aisle far from the actual Lego recently. wholovesboo Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 As we expected Does that say OOS bc it's not really in stock yet? Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Does that say OOS bc it's not really in stock yet? It was then they ran out. I know some stores started getting them . Quote

exciter1 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I saw them in stock at a Walmart yesterday. We need a Ron Burgundy minifig for this. 1 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Phew, we have a lot of ground to cover here for the summer wave sets of Friends. (This is only the beginning.) Oliva's Ice Cream Bike - $9.99 Andrea's Mountain Hut - $9.99 First Aid Jungle Bike - $14.99 Jungle Falls Rescue - $19.99 Jungle Rescue Base - $59.99 Quote
TheOrcKing Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Moving along from above.... Jungle Bridge Rescue - $29.99 Summer Caravan - $29.99 Heartlake Shopping Center - $109.99 Advent Calendar - $29.99 Also, I just noticed the suggested retail price for Series 4 & 5 actually went down a dollar so now they should retail for $3.99 instead of $4.99! Weird, huh? Quote
exciter1 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 There's no way I can keep up with all these Friends sets. The bodies of the Friends girls are also not even close to being proportionate to the amount of ice cream they must consume. 3 Quote
wholovesboo Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 What's up with all the ice cream vending?? They must be franchising, those enterprising gals. Gotta pay for all those vehicles, properties and animals they own. But I do like that photo booth. More new and creative stuff please, Lego! Quote

Also, Olivia's Ice Cream Bike doesn't look that 'natural' but more like the cart was just slapped onto the front of the bike instead of being an actual part of it. I really do like Emma's blue motorcycle with sidecar though. ;) Quote
vincevaughn Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I wonder if the shopping center will show up in the big box retailers.....never been a friends set north of 100. And lego sets are hit and miss in that region for targets/walmarts. Quote
kit Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Thank you for all the photos. they are coming out with a lot of cute sets. the mall is up there in price. I just don't know if I will pay that. it would have to be for a Christmas gift that is for sure. with just having the camper and news van I wonder why they are doing a summer caravan. I do hope WalMart and Target get a lot of them. Quote
sahminnj Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I don't really like the jungle themed sets. The mall is super cute though and I know my daughter will love that one. Probably will be on her Christmas list. Have to show her the jungle ones and see what she thinks. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 When does the "Obesity Clinic" set get released? These girls must be needing one soon with all that ice-cream! Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 How would Olivia supposed to steer an ice cream cart put in that configuration ? Perhaps that is how Olivia get her cardio to maintain her figure: by pulling that cart out of a ditch 5 times a day. Quote
ninjasnake1337 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 I have got a bad feeling the friends line has been seriously devalued by the exponential increase in the size of the range. A lot of junk in there IMHO. Probably only the principle sets are worth trying to flip, but then again, with so many lines to choose from who says even that will work. Though little Jenny crying she wants that exact set may work, but which set will little Jenny be crying for? Votes on a postcard. Quote

I'm restocking as soon as I see them for -50% or less. The piddly little sets I can't be bothered with. Quote
Gondorian Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 The piddly little sets I can't be bothered with. I started out buying a lot of them, but I'm not planning to invest much more. I am actually giving little Friends sets as birthday presents when my daughter gets invited to parties. Recently, some lucky girls got some retired sets that go on Amazon for Quote
wholovesboo Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Anyone watched the TV show? Sets that appear in that (e.***. the school) should do well. There is one all about the dolphin cruiser so that just adds to its chance of success. I'm waiting for the episode where they get trapped in a mall I'm not a fan of the animated series. Seems awfully dull and predictable. It's hard to tell the girls apart because they lack distinguishable personalities. A much better animated series is (you may be surprised) the Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse animated series. Smart with lots of in jokes. Quote
No More Monkeys Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I'm waiting for the episode where they get trapped in a mall Zombies should be somehow involved... Quote
