6860 - The Batcave

I am still seeing a few batcaves locally. No discounts. Is it worthy of a full price investment?  retiring soon?

No and not until end of year most likely but will be scarce at Xmas most likely.

No TRU by you? You can at least use the 20% off coupon in the Daily Deals Thread

Picked one up today. I think these will disappear very quickly as the holidays approach. One of my TRUs had about six on the shelf.

Price matched Amazon down to $70 and used up some expiring TRU rewards to knock off $20. Scored a free pumpkin polybag for my trouble.

Edit: I considered the Power Armor Lex set since that was my goto TRU price match + reward combo but I'm fully stocked on those and the 2015 sets have me less bullish on it now. Batcave is more in line with my current investment strategy.

haven't seen them anywhere local in PA but today i was in manhattan so stopped at the TRU at times square, had none, but the Lego store on Broadway had them on sale for $61 and had maybe 15 of them.  so i was pretty shocked and only had money for 1 or I'd have gotten a few.  Still seems like a good buy finding it under retail at this point.  plus i used a $5 reward so after taxes, still $61.  happy with it though.

so if anyone is looking for one, 23rd and broadway Lego store has em right now.

would also say that since they are super hard to find and lego store has them on sale, it's probably the store's last stock of it.

I found one last week at a local Target.  The box still had a bit of tape and wrapping paper.  Must have been a Christmas return.  With taxes, I got it for $65.  I have been running the math on it and based on eBay sales, I'd have to sell north of $100 to make anything and that would still be slim.  I guess the stance for now would be hold.  Is it worth the investment at $65?

These just now finally started to dry up. Hold until at least this Christmas. I'm hoping to sell the majority of mine for at least $200, whenever that occurs.

I would bet on it. My average buy-in is $50, but would definitely jump on more at $65, at this point.
