thehobbyrat Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Batcave is still available on walmart's site. Panic buying will set in soon. If you missed the $50 deal from TRU last week, getting it at 69.99 isn't all too bad. If the hulk helicarrier can go for $90-$110USD on ebay, I can't see why this isn't even a $175USD item by end of march. Quote
No More Monkeys Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 BTW, Amazon has 40 of batcaves at MSRP, if anyone cares Quote
glucapg Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 6860 retired product at LEGO Shop at Home Italy Quote

raindog Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 BTW, Amazon has 40 of batcaves at MSRP, if anyone cares I just checked again. As of this time, Amazon has 337 sets at list. Quote
TheDarkness Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 And I keep buying them. Waiting a week before I can order more can be painful.... Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Still think we may have a while on this one. A lot of them are still getting refilled at my Walmarts and Targets. Quote

asharerin Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Batman is the best selling super hero theme in the USA. With the next Batman movie getting pushed back a year TLG will have to keep some Batman sets around alot longer to bridge the gap the movie delay has left in the 2015 lineup. 6860 may even last through 2015 until TLG is allowed to release the new movie sets in 2016. Blackjack Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 What is the concensus about the potential of this set? (merge if you have to) Quote
fatboycarney Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Everyone loves this set. Every time I ask a comparison between other sets Batcave is the overwhelming favourite. It is just so well liked, will have broad appeal and look at the sales on ebay around Christmas. Also since this is retired in UK check out some of the UK specific #s already. Looks promising. Quote
zskid00 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 It would have been better if this set retired with most of the other Batman sets from wave 1, but it should still do well when it's gone. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 6860 has been gone in the UK and I doubled my money on the 2 I had within 3 months of buying them at -30% after fees. That should tell you something. Quote
njseale Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Very good set, will shoot to over 100 easy after true EOL. Only thing you have to be careful about is a rerelease of this set which would hurt value. Quote
zskid00 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Or TRU hanging onto it for months and months after it retires from shop @ home (ie - Vampyre Castle, Funhouse) Quote
Ciglione Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 All depends on where you are. In the US and UK it will do probably good. Around here it does less. Quote
Young_Gun21 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Or TRU hanging onto it for months and months after it retires from shop @ home (ie - Vampyre Castle, Funhouse)With TRU prices they are competing in the secondary market for a little while until they sell out -I don't always going shopping, but when I do I buy Lego- Quote
exciter1 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Or TRU hanging onto it for months and months after it retires from shop @ home (ie - Vampyre Castle, Funhouse) These don't hang around TRU long, no matter what the price is. 1 Quote
Soadfan4ever Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 These don't hang around TRU long, no matter what the price is. Same here. They only restocked the one time this year, then I cleared both stores out in my area during whatever deal there was a while back. Also, I haven't seen any funhouses in a while. Are they drying up everywhere else as well? Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Quote
glenbart Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 The bane figure alone in this set is high value down the line, you also get his tank, the black bat-bike is better than the blue one in the funhouse and looks really good with a black batman fig rather than the blue supplied.. only this set and the funhouse can you get the classic blue batman red robin, ivy only available in arkham set. The batcave has some good features such as the changing cell, Ivy's holding cell, the computer displays and the bat equipment and bat phone. This set is still the best investment of any superheroes set to date... IMO. 2 Quote
allen9917 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 What are people's stock and quota for the batcave? everyone is getting 20+ as the spider chase or arctic batman? This is a set I haven't set the limit for myself. Currently have 11-12 and I'll be picking up a couple whenever it's on sale until it's completely out. Quote
