mrlinderman Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 One of the Walmarts in my area has 5 of these at 30 each. As a new brickpicker with limited means and no knowledge of city sets, are they worth it at that price?? Thanks Quote
TheOrcKing Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 $30?! You lucky son-of-a-gun. Ha. Um, I don't how everyone else feels but I would be in for a few at half off. Heck, even $40 would be good to me but of course $30 is much better! Since I don't know how limited your means are, I can only suggest stocking up something like two to four perhaps. Quote
@rtisan Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I`m personally not a fan of the set. Just don`t like the look of it. I`ve seen it as low as $45 here at Walmart, but won`t buy it. $30 is a very good discount though, so if you are a fan, I`d buy. As far as investing goes, you really can`t lose at 50% for the most part. If you are comfortable with owning the set, then I`d buy. Quote
MartinP Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 $30 is a great deal. That is 50% off. I do not think that you can lose money on a set that you got for 50% off. Quote
CNH1974 Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 $30 is a good. Yet another set amazon is selling at above RRP. Quote
willy431 Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Correct retail on that should have been about 39 in my mind. Nobody would pay $60 for that. 30 bucks is good if you want to assemble with kids...then shift it to ebay and clear 25 as used when done. If you are buying multiples to store and sell...you would need to list at $40 to break even...$60 to turn a small profit to cover your time to pack and ship and wait. Again..nobody is going to pay $60 for it. Don't buy. Quote
