Tmo
Has anyone else noticed this Ebay listing for a retired cargo plane. I'm guessing he didn't proofread the listing? Surprised it was not flagged by Ebay?
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
To be fair, its only missing a few pieces.
TheOrcKing
To be fair, its only missing a few pieces.....A few? I'd say it's missing quite a few things like a two sets of wheels on the plane itself for starters.
lowillsw
LOL for 200k I could charter a private jet for a week.
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
....A few? I'd say it's missing quite a few things like a two sets of wheels on the plane itself for starters. Um, who needs wheels to fly a plane ?
TheOrcKing
LOL for 200k I could charter a private jet for a week.Yeah really. $200,000 for a used incomplete set. Sure buddy, keep dreaming. That will really help it sell! Um, who needs wheels to fly a plane ?Don't need them to fly but it sure helps to land....unless your Launchpad McQuack!
Tmo
I was originally going to message them to point out the possible error. Then had second thoughts after reading the description which seemed so honest and genuine in disclosing all the set's flaws and shortcomings. I always roll my eyes when they use the word 'figurine'. justafrog
Okay, which one of you owns the listing i.d. and is messing with us? I call shenanigans.
segreto
http://compare.ebay.com/like/170844351588?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar This one is only 800.00 and has the box and instructions. No carpet, though. You would think a 200k item would warrant some kind or photography setup or something.

Surprised it was not flagged by Ebay? Its most likely a listing error, but why would eBay flag it? A seller can list anything for any price he/she wishes. Tmo
Of course they may set any price they wish. By flagged i meant that during the listing process I am surprised there was not a gentle warning from ebay that the price may be too high. I know that for my small peanuts listings on ebay I get all sorts of suggestions on price, listing style and shipping. Also, It is my understanding that Paypal (the form of payment this seller accepts) has a $10k limit per transaction?
Diabolos80
lol ebay gives me a gentle warning every time an item doesn't sell. 'Increase the odds of selling your item by lowering the starting price.' Or something. What they really mean is 'lol you're dumb. Nobody wants an $85 Sith Infiltrator.' Anakinisvader
For only $100,000 I'd be happy to throw in the rest of the missing pieces.
MartinP
That price is ridiculous. I could buy a decent sized house with $200,000. I will be watching to see if anyone buys it.
stephen_rockefeller
Don't waste your time, no one will EVER buy it at that price.
CNH1974
Hah, I wonder if they get more watchers from people seeing if it sells. From that picture it looks like it has made an emergency landing. It would have been better if they had a blue carpet.
CelesAurivern
Its most likely a listing error, but why would eBay flag it? A seller can list anything for any price he/she wishes. Not only that, ebay gets 15k in commissions if it sells. Why kill the goose?
Fcbarcelona101
Not only that, ebay gets 15k in commissions if it sells. Why kill the goose? I think it is more like 6k or so (Paypal+eBay). Paypal would be the happier side.
Guest brickcrazyhouse
maybe the house comes with the set
JoshTX
For that price Maybe he's actually selling the house it's in and using the lego model as a real estate prop.
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
How is this still up?
justafrog
I expect it's a joke listing, and since it doesn't violate any eBay rules it'll run its course. With 50 free listings per month, I guess people with too much spare time feel free to exercise what passes for a sense of humor.
Polar_Beast
Well, on the bright side, I have one of these NIB, so that must mean it's worth at least a half million! Woot woot, now I can finally retire!
