maxgc53
I saw on the main page there is about 90$ million worth in peoples brickfolios. With 5,000 members, that is about $18,000 per member....Seems a little high..Or maybe I need to step it up!
kerrmando
I'm pretty sure it took a drastic jump somewhere. Might be someone just throwing it off... Thought I could be totally wrong. I remember last looking and it was in the 50s
maxgc53
I remember that too..I still feel even at 50 million thats pretty high considering there is only 5000 members as of now...
ausleigh
I wish mine was $18K That said I do need to update my folio at some time...
rcdb1984
couldnt someone just edit their numbers to say they have 50000000 of something expensive and then throw the thing off? LoL
comicblast
I'll bet someone added 500 10179's to their Brickfolio.. LOL I guess it isn't that surprising, since we do have some pretty big dogs here, even if they don't post often. The Macks have said that there is a small percentage of people who actually participate in the forums, so we have quite a few "invisibles", so to speak. sadowsk1
It might be a true number. Still only a tiny snapshot in the overall number of people that resell Lego.
Ed Mack
The real number is $50,000,000.00+. Jeff just corrected it. There is a glitch with one member.
Quacs
Keep in mind many non-reseller/investor Lego fans like to see what their collections are "worth" with no intent to ever sell them. The total Brickfolio value should not be considered an estimate of current/future inventories.

The total Brickfolio value should not be considered an estimate of current/future inventories. This is spot on. I keep a separate brickfolio for my investments, and another under my son's name for our personal collection. He is seven, loves to play and build with his Legos, and is starting to realize the value. He asks me to pull up his brickfolio from time to time so he can see what his collection is worth...lol. seapotato
Lol I wish my collection was worth that much! Though I'm slowing amassing quite the collection. Must...sell...some...
Diabolos80
Where is this 'only 5000 members' stat coming from? I thought we had 3x that number.
boxofcorey
Where is this 'only 5000 members' stat coming from? I thought we had 3x that number. It might be the actual number of Brickfolios created, not actual members registered here.
Spartikis
50M would put it around $10,000 per person, thats more realistic.

boxofcorey
I didn't think there WAS a concrete number. 5027 Brickfolios have been created since April 4th, 2012! Total current value of member Brickfolios: $ 50,715,002.77 Total number of LEGO Pieces in the member Brickfolios: 262,460,389

Total current value of member Brickfolios: $ 50,715,002.77 Total number of LEGO Pieces in the member Brickfolios: 262,460,389 Those are the correct numbers. About 25% of members actually create a Brickfolio.
boxofcorey
Those are the correct numbers. Is there a "Members List" on the forum? I wanted to see how many accounts there were registered but couldn't find it.

boxofcorey
I don't think the Macks publish this information, although I could be wrong. It's usually part of the forum software, they may very well choose to hide it though. Not asking for a particular reason, just vaguely curious based on this topic. comicblast
I actually have a theory on how you can figure out how many members are on BrickPicker. Go to the main Forums page, then go to the "Newest Members" tab. Click on the link of the first member you see, then take a look at the URL of the person's member page. For example, my URL is http://community.brickpicker.com/user/5354-comicblast/, and the number right before my username is the member number I am, so I was the 5354th person to register as a member. The most recent member is hyper_somniac, and he is number 28,662. So really about 17.5% of members actually create Brickfolios if my method is correct. Edit: Ooo, lala! This is my 2500th post! Edit 2: Never mind. False info. Please disregard.
rcdb1984
What are the top 3 sets that people have the most of? Gotta be FB JP GE?
TheOrcKing
What are the top 3 sets that people have the most of? Gotta be FB JP GE?I thought Ed said at one time it was Fire Brigade. I can see that in a way but as for me, Fire Brigade is just an okay modular house design. It is better than Market Street though. I guess I'm just tired of yet more firemen Lego sets. I'm more of a 'copper' kind of guy anyway.
