stephen_rockefeller Posted September 28, 2012 Author Posted September 28, 2012 Did you pick up any sets today? Quote
Rich B Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Did you pick up any sets today? Yeah man, I caved and picked up my first SSD finally, that $335 deal was too hard to pass up. Also got 2 Maersk Trains for $100 a piece. I am going to try not to buy anything else between now and Christmas, other than the Winter Cottage that's about to come out next week, I've got to watch my money, this Lego thing is getting seriously addicting, but ya gotta love it! dschooley Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 I agree that this is totally addicting. When I actually documented all my sets on this site and realized how much I have been spending it almost made me sick. It did help me to take more time to evaluate each spend, and decide if it is worth it or not. So I have cut back some, for instance I did not pick up the Cars sets on clearence at Walmart although I did pick up a mobile command center for $20 and a couple Alien Invasion Motherships for $19.50 each. Doofy McGee Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Building a brickfolio is a bit of a wakeup call. I realized I have put in about $2300 in the last 2 months on LEGOs. It made me a little uneasy like everyone else is saying. The good news is...this addicting habit we all suffer from will at least pay off in the long run. It's not like it's gambling losses at the casino and now we can't pay our mortgages or something like that. Right??? Lol. That is the logic that gets me through the night. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 Yeah I started out fast and furious as well, now that my collection is decent (to me anyway) my purchases are a little more spread out, and investment conscience. Quote
