Diabolos80
Nice, thanks for sharing. 6073, Knight's Castle. Cool. 410 pieces. In 1984 it cost $27. I'm glad Lego is worthy of a $100 castle now.
Scissorino
Anyone have any more? 87 was when I got my first lego set.
Scissorino
We had that Duplo farm and train though. I turned 1 in 85.

TheOrcKing
Jeeze, I remember that Police Car and Knight's Castle. Ah, good times.Nice, thanks for sharing. 6073, Knight's Castle. Cool. 410 pieces. In 1984 it cost $27.By today's standards, it would probably retail for $50-$60 with all those big wall parts.
terrymc4677
thanks for bringing me back. I remember I wanted that airport soooooo bad, and my friend got it. I was so jealous, but I still got to play with it almost every day at his house. I did get the king's castle when I was in third grade though, and I still have it! I have since passed it onto my son's (and daughter's) collection, but they seldom play with it. they are too busy with their star wars, friends, and ninja turtles. some day it will go to my grandkids I guess. also, I did finally get that airport...about five years ago off if ebay! better late than never I guess... lol
arobert125
I'd frame the catalog......it would look cool on the wall of a Lego room.

Scissorino
I can't find any of the old catalogues. Just been through all the old instructions, mostly from the 90s, and will post some pics soon of what I grew up with. Will do a blog post of my top childhood lego sets too. matt1147
No wonder those old space sets aren't worth anything (I have several) - they really are ugly! Lol
Darth_Raichu
Thanks. That brought back so many memories Anyone who thinks Chima is unique, should check out Fabuland. There were Space series about exploration and not conflict, plus boats that float

I like the older ones better.

boba_jagoda
I collect old castle themed leaflets and adverts. Have a folder-full. Many scenes there are truly remarkable, and I am sure were the staring material for many children. There are also some nice images in various idea books.
