seapotato Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 All used sets, with boxes and manual. Looks like mostly recent sets within the last year or two. Person wants 2,200 for everything, but I don't think it has that much value. What do you guys think? 4182 4183 4191 4195 4727 4729 4865 4866 5958 6209 6268 6344 6857 6858 6860 6862 6863 6864 6865 6866 6867 6868 6964 7034 9469 9470 9471 9473 9474 9476 9489 9490 9491 9493 9494 9495 9496 9497 9498 9516 20019 30213 31007 71001 71001 71001 71001 71001 71001 75000 75002 75003 75004 75005 75014 75017 75020 76000 76001 76002 76004 76006 76007 76008 76009 79000 79001 79002 79003 79004 79005 79006 79007 79008 79010 79106 852113 2856217 5000214 5001095 5001621 5001623 Quote
Diabolos80 Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Seapotato, have you calculated the total value according to BP? I like large lots like this, I find even if I only break even I still got a few solid weeks of building and playing. Plus, if you're trying to gain experience and feedback with ebay and shipping, it's a great way to grow as a seller. Quote
thetamp Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 No I didn't, and good point. I also like the big lots. Good luck and let me know how it turns out. Quote
Grolim Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I just added it all up using Brickpicker used prices. Some things like the books and other gear had no value so I used 50% of retail. The S10 minifigures I used $2.99, an Hoth Han I chucked in $10. The total for all 82 items comes to $2,003.69 So $2,200 doesn't seem like a great deal to me. I wouldn't go over $1,500 at absolute tops. Quote

I would go for the lot for around $1,300 if you are investing in the lot, and $1,500 if the lot is for your personal collection. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I wouldn't even do it for that. Here are my points for lots like this: 1. How do you know all the pieces are there? More sets you have, more you have to build and go through. 2. No big Exclusive sets - If I am looking at something like this and don't see a 10XXX - thats pretty much it. 3. Time and money spent to sell 10$ sets. Lots like these I only buy to build. If I can get a bunch of stuff I want to build for 60 cents on the dollar, I don't mind a piece missing here and there and I don't have to go through everything with a fined tooth comb. Quote
seapotato Posted August 30, 2013 Author Posted August 30, 2013 Thanks guys. I did price it out and got about 1900 excluding all the books and random accessories. Might have to pass on this, even though i don't own a majority of those sets. Quote
Slogghead Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I saw this as well. It seems like too much work unless you want to fill gaps in your collection. It has a lot of new sets which is nice. Quote
seapotato Posted August 30, 2013 Author Posted August 30, 2013 yea i'm having doubts unless I can get a really good price for it. I was gonna say if we can work down the price, we can just split the lot. You take superheros, I'll take lotr. lol. Quote
CNH1974 Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I usually price everything up using BP, but anything under 1 Quote
