Leicamarc
Is anyone investing in minifigures? If yes: which ones are the best to invest in? I was wondering if it would be wise to invest in minifigs from retired sets for instance
mikeur86
I buy lots on ebay all the time and break them up and flip. As for investing(holding on to them) I don't do that. For instance I just bought around 800 figures for around 80 cents a piece. About 200 of them were either special figures, licensed figures or animals. I have already sold about 100 of them individually and each one is yielding me around 4.00. The highest was 17.00 the cheapest is 2.55 plus shipping. The other 600 figures were vintage, basic town stuff. I broke up the cops/robbers and sold in a lot for around 1.75 a piece sold a few astronauts but the rest I broke into lots of 25, 50 and 100 and sold for 99 cents each. So overall its an easy quick flip but it does require quite a bit of work. I had to take pictures of roughly 200 different figures which I did while my wife and I watched a movie..but still it's a pain. I use a ebay program called Garagesale so when listing all I have to do is change the name and the photo which doesn't take long at all. There are some nice deals on ebay for figure lots all the time just make sure you know what you are doing. The first lot I bought I paid 1.50 a figure and had no clue what I was doing and ended up losing a lot of time and money. seapotato
For sure look up prices! I definitely paid way more than 1.50 per figure when I first bought minifigs. But they were for my personal collection so that's okay I guess.
Bsusanka
Selling minfigs seems like a lot of work and times consuming. I guess it isn so bad if you love Legos though.
