Is there a reason for these returns?

mostly unwanted or order wrong item., then they come back customer damaged. im ok with the first part, just dont damage it fools. i had one idiot rant that the Lego box was taped up, she was referring to the seals ..smh.... I've had much better experiences with ebay buyers than amazon's as of late.

That's because eBay customers understand that if the item is the same item that they bought, they have to live with it about 90% of the time (as most sellers don't offer returns). They are out of luck it the person they got the gift for hated it. Getting something for cheap does have its drawbacks ;)

i will wait 24 hours before escalating . i want my ~$700 back .

Right now I have 24 units gone that add up to over $1,000 at current FBA prices.  They are essentially saying a 30 pound package that UPS says was delivered had nothing in it or has gone missing and they aren't taking responsibility.  It's just absurd.

I'm pulling for you guys.  This  is ridiculous.

seller central FBA forums are fun with these issues.

Where did your shipment go that you were having issues with?  Mine was sent to Baltimore BWI2.  It seems that location has caused a lot of problems recently:

I did get a helpful English-as-their-first-language representative on the phone who has submitted my case as a reimbursement request.  I should hear back from them in the next day or two, hoping for a full reimbursement, but expecting them to close the case again.  We'll see.

good luck , seems like a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. at this point they are going against their policies, albeit they are trying to present it as contents missing as opposed to the damn box missing.

I had a two box shipment sent to bwi2... Both arrived at the center per tracking on the same day. One box was checked in in full but the other box did not get checked in for a week...

Just send the Jeff email, it's not really nuclear anymore as chances are you will have to send it multiple times before a useful person does the needful.

Jeff responses I have had this week include great names such as: Kumar, Manoj, Rejoli, Aamil...

His life took a downward trend if he's slinging responses for Bezos these days...

I sent a relatively small shipment at the beginning of December to Amazon. Everything was fine until I noticed 4 Mixels sets were missing/not received. I checked the FBA location and sure enough it was Baltimore BWI2. Sent a message to Amazon and they replied back saying sorry but our warehouse says they never receive it. Has anyone ever been successful escalating this kind of issue over the phone?

It sounds like you guys really need to grow your business to be much bigger than it currently is.  If you're getting bent out of shape over the kinds of inventory issues that you're describing, FBA may not be the best choice for you.  Losing money or inventory sucks and it shouldn't happen, but it's a cost of doing business with Amazon and you need to factor in a certain amount of loss every year.

Wow Baltimore Center sucks! I had one box/shipment delivered on Dec 5 to Baltimore that was never even checked in. After almost 4 weeks of waiting to reconcile I am now being told I need to provide detailed invoices for every item that was in the box which I don't have. I only have retail receipts. They didn't even open the box and they already want proof what was in it! Very frustrating. Any suggestions on what to do? I don't want to send in receipts thinking it might cause a whole new set of problems.

Retails receipts were usually enough for reimbursement ( haven’t had to do it in a long time), but it might open a can of worms based on some of the threads on seller central .
