river41 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 how do you keep track of hundreds of items to know when one has just disappeared. I get knowing the more expensive items by heart how many you have but a run of the mill item how do you know do you have a spreadsheet or inventory system that lets you know what should be there and then you compare? I mark everything I send in FBA on my inventory list. I mark sold as I get an Amazon shipping notification. I highlight returned if I get a returned notification. After the 5th of each month, you can can reconcile your inventory. I search my database for "FBA not sold" and compare this to my "Inventory, active items" on Amazon. l can then note any discrepancies. Like others have said, once my items are checked in, I don't worry about the inventory numbers that much. Quote
Jackson Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 So was Winter Fun (set 40124) discounted in store? FBA sellers are selling it for $12.97. At that price, the buy cost would need to be about $8.00 just to break even. MSRP for this set was $9.99. Any insights? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01762YNY8/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me= Quote

The horde saw the trick or treat go to $20-$25 quick (over $30 now), so jumped on the vignette bandwagon. They forgot this set sucks, and are now just dumping to free up capital Quote

Sheeeesh can you tell us how? this is better than any investment known to mankind! I will be placing thousands of orders once we have a script on how to convince AZ rep to give us extra $ on each order 18 hours ago, Jackson said: So was Winter Fun (set 40124) discounted in store? With the animal seasonal theme this year, 2015 seasonal sets will do well in 2016. Quote

I understand the refund but making money on top of it as a buyer? My guess CS manually refunded wrong order number Quote

Sheeeesh I might of gotten the reverse of this. Unless I'm mistaken, the customer paid ~30 for a set from me, I received ~20, and yesterday I received ~8 in compensation in association with the refund of the set. The thing is I can't find anywhere that shows they took back the original ~20. I might be misunderstanding it though. Quote

Deeker Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Anyone getting a lot of returns as of lately selling through FBA? Last year I had maybe 4-5 out of 200 or so items sold. This year alone I have had 6 on about 50 items. I have had two items that where no longer sell-able so I had those shipped back to me. I am honestly starting to think that many people are buying our FBA products and shipping back their damaged ones they own. Quote

Don't your sets have a unique Amazon applied sticker over the barcode that's harder to peel off and place on another box? if so, this should help with your box condition concerns. Quote

Deeker Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 They do have the sticker on the bottom. But the Avery sticker you use is easy to peel off the bar code. Quote
Dbroncoboy Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 As far as returns- yeah they have been much higher this year for me than ever before. I'm running at about 2.75% so far of my December orders being returned. In years past I believe I stayed under 1%. A lot of items over $100 are being returned, and probably about 50% of the Millennium Falcons I sold got returned (unopened mostly). I also got back a BB8 that had the motor and everything inside it removed, abused light sabers, etc. Additionally four items Amazon lost in warehouse got me a reimbursement of $300 a piece and they are selling for about $700 each... It's not been a very good January, but as others have said, its a love/hate with FBA. Most of the time it's love, just been a rough month. It happens... I can only hope the influx of new people who seem comfortable selling stuff for 1% profit are getting the same treatment Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Returns @ Amazon have been brutal this year .... just ridiculous. I was able to recoup money on obvious scams and stuff returns opened/mangled and/or crashed . Quote
justapilgrim Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I had a few returns for *better price found". People pay the holiday premium, then ship you the lower priced one they picked up when prices cool off Quote
exciter1 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 FWIW, I've had zero Raptor Escapes or 10697s returned. Quote

Achilles Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 My returns have been as normal, one thing that stood out to me - I had 4 Mines of Moria sets returned this season, by far my highest. I only scanned one that I got back, and it was complete. Haven't gone through the other 3 yet. But that's the only thing that struck me. Quote
redcell Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I haven't checked percentage, but I've had alot of returns. Quote
Deeker Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Well it finally happened. I sold my first set LEGO Star Wars Palpatines Arrest (9526) Exclusive that had the seller return item saying it was missing pieces or accessories. This is absolutely untrue as it was a sealed box that I purchased new sometime ago. Is there any recourse for this since I am 100% confident this person most likely opened and took the figures out. I am not surprised this has happened but feel so violated. Quote
