jaisonline Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 No "concrete proof" yet about Tower Bridge, Echo Base, MF, and VW. 10188 looks to be around in 2014. We also don't know about 10227 (B-Wing). Orc Forge from this yr is also retiring. Here is a helpful link.. http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/3756-looks-like-the-ssds-tower-bridge-fire-brigade-are-done/ Quote

jaisonline Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I thought B Wing had already gone. Lego USA changed their status from "call for availability" to "sold out" again. We need the status to be "retired" like they quietly did on the Weathertop set. Quote

comicblast Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Just wondering, where are you getting this information? Are you basing it off clearance, or something else? I know some if it comes from on-site like SSD, Tower Bridge and FB. Quote
Grolim Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Thanks for the list. I think it's good to have it just to know what is still available at retail from those release years. Speculation on EOL can come later, but having the list is a good starting point and some of them will be definite candidates for EOL soon. Quote
brickolodon Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 U Welcome, yep, list shows full picture what avail now for older sets, note: city space only series left to invest...pretty good sets. Quote

Grolim Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Added a few to the list. If anyone has some others post them and I'll edit the OP. Quote

I will post just interesting large sets EOL soon...What is the source and what are we to do with this info? Right from the start, I see Hancock and sears and those i thought are already retired. There are others available still as well not on the list. I'm just not following what to do with this data. My bad - I see this string was from 2012. I forgot we are in 2013. On third thought, I'm confused still. This was started just yesterday. So what are we talking about 2012 here? Quote
brickolodon Posted July 16, 2013 Author Posted July 16, 2013 Meaning for this topic that you can buy it on sale/clearance before its goes EOL...All this sets not retired yet. 2012 sets will retire this year...most of them still available online/retail. That's different story. P.S. Architecture sets not retired yet (as I know), except Korean building 21016 from 2012. I am not sure about Hancock and Sears Tower. May be I am wrong. Quote
brickolodon Posted July 16, 2013 Author Posted July 16, 2013 Added a few to the list. If anyone has some others post them and I'll edit the OP. Tanks for quick fix. Huskers1236 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 What about that Police Helicopter that has been around forever? Quote
CNH1974 Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 I have one of those boxed. Bought it at the local market. I also found one in a bulk lot that dated from around 2009 at the latest going by the other stuff in it. Place your bets, 7741 or 10188 to go first.... Quote
TheOrcKing Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 Place your bets, 7741 or 10188 to go first.... LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!! You got to admit, for two sets at completely different sides of the spectrum (in size and cost), both have done quite well it seems to stay around for this long. Oh right, don't forget this one too! (Recently retired) Quote
CNH1974 Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 That looks like a snazzy fire set. I note though the UK RRP was the highest. I think the reason why they have kept 7741 for so long is that, what can do actually replace it with? It's a great design for a small set, difficult to improve on. Quote
Guest idunno101 Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 what is DS set? thanks DS = Death Star Quote
kelvintong Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 there is rumor of EOL of DS in my country as well... they said that it has no more production but I don't know how to varify it.... Quote
