Has anyone ever found a good cart at Walmart?

I just make a stack and carry my sets because I'm a total Badass. :)

In all seriousness though - it is hilarious how this varies walmart to walmart.

One of ours is brand new and in the rich people side of town. That one it is like the carts are DW40'd before you pick them up.

Go to the walmart in the bad part of town (the best lego walmart) and your cart will roll like they have the first wheels invented by cavemen.

Every single time I go I get some busted down cart with string holding down a wheel.  It's frustrating when you are trying to push a massive cart full of lego and you are making more noise then a toddler in church.

Oh my god, practically every single dang time I pick out a cart from either Walmart or Target, that is exactly how it is! And it doesn't seem to matter which one I choose too. There always seems to be the front left wheel all wobbly barely touching the ground and when it does, the whole thing shakes and bobs like it has a case of Tourettes Syndrome. :frantics:

My wife always picks the bad ones. Haha. Yeah it's really frustrating. Probably because in our area people who don't have cars push them back to their house (for real).

Wallyworld and other retailers will pay people to round the wondered off carts up and bring them back.  I wonder how they get paid? by the cart or just a general contract.

I don't really use carts (not buying enough to make it worthwhile  :turned: ). Do you guys prefer the plastic Target ones or the ones from Walmart?

I like target's better - but they can still get beat up. They aren't as much though because a little higher class of clientele shop there - at least in my town. We don't have any targets in the rougher parts of town.

...which unfortunately is usually where the deals are. :( There's a target in forest lawn (a bit seedy round there - but public perception is the big problem) in Calgary but compared to any american city's rougher half, forest lawn is as safe as the police station LOL

(hint: the subliminal message in this post is to move to Canada)

Wal-Marts have typically been aimed towards the lower class. Target have typically been aimed at the upper-lower to middle class. Targets carts are always in much better shape. Wal-Marts carts always have problems: wobbly wheels, stuck wheels, or a rod on the bottom that broke and keeps banging constantly. Or one of the wheels finds a tiny piece of plastic and completely stops dead in its tracks, making you look like a jack-ass

I really like the Target ones, especially the carts at Targets with elevators. They are plastic, but they are very smooth and non-bumpy, which makes it my favorite Target. I believe that they are at least making an effort to get better carts because the Target with the good carts was completed about 8 months ago. All the old ones have carts like Walmart and Home Depot...

You are absolutely right. It is funny though that there is a class based cart system. This is America people.
