stephen_rockefeller
Did anyone catch the national news yesterday that a major character is going to be killed off? The only clue they gave is that is a character that is voiced by an emmy award winner.........by my calculations that narrows it down to 13 possibilities lol

Not related to your post, Stephen. I just happened to remember this April Fools Day prank of Bart yesterday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSZ_fV3fmXk Wish the video quality was better. What do you guys think? http://www.thebrickfan.com/official-lego-simpsons-minifigures-found/ Love the heads, but the bodies need work. Homer needs a pot belly if he's not going to have a shirt. TheOrcKing
And Lego says new molds for parts is expensive. Jeeze, I can hardly imagine just how many new ones they had to create for those 'bobble heads' alone. Man, those are some big noggins, and what the heck is with those outfits? Going for the Mad Max look with Road Warrior apparel? Those heads may be 'official' but those bodies aren't.

I haven't watched the Simpsons in a long time so I'm not sure if those were outfits in the show.

pickleboy
...not really all that big of news but I did find the following interesting... "Lego is reportedly set to release a collection much like the Olympic minifigures. It'll feature series 13 blind-bag minifigures, with 16 Simpsons characters total. Some of the characters include Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Apu, Chief Wiggum, Moe, Itchy and Scratchy. Expect a release sometime in May 2014." I personally think that is a brilliant idea. (I don't like it as a collector but as a investor I think it's cool.)http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/124492-the-simpsons-lego-set-and-minifigs-to-release-in-april-may-2014 EDIT: On kind of a side note, you may remember the graphic when you look at this link. I remember it from last year... They made the TMNT...They made the Simpsons....think this is a prediction for other sets that are in the works?http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/119964-the-simpsons-lego-in-works
Guest eightbrick
We already knew this (http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/5037-the-simpsons-coming-to-a-lego-store-near-you/?hl=simpsons, http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/5007-the-simpsons-in-lego-for-2014/page-8?hl=simpsons), but thanks for sharing that interesting photo. It's surprising how recognizable they are despite being so simple. For those who don't want to open another tab:
pickleboy
I know we knew it was coming out but I wasn't sure if we had a date or if we knew they were releasing the figures in the minibags. I wasn't going to read the entire thread to find out if it was there and it didn't show up when I searched. If it's been shared before...well I'll share it again for those who didn't see it, like myself, the first time. If a mod wants to merge this go ahead... As for the picture...I assumed THAT was the thing everyone had already seen...

Guest eightbrick
I don't recognize the black and yellow shirted figures... Who are they? Not sure about the top right and left but the rest are instantly recognizable. Neither of those two look like Asterix and Obelix (this roman/bandit warrior cartoon thing - not a bad kids comic actually).

BrickPick3r
is it a series 13 or just a theme like Olympic?
