stephen_rockefeller Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Depending on how how high these auctions go I think that this could be profitable. I would totally jump on it if I had the time to resale them, but at the present moment I just dont also the Wifey would kill me if I bought these huge boxes. She already complains that we dont have enough room (even when I bought a mandalorian battle pack) lol!! She will be singing a different tune when my sets EOL!!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Factory-Case-of-90-Sealed-LEGO-STAR-WARS-Brickmasters-20018-20019-/221122196112?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item337be8f290 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Factory-Case-of-94-Sealed-LEGO-STAR-WARS-Brickmasters-20018-20019-/221122201850?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item337be908fa if anyone from here does bid and win one of these auctions, I would be interested how they work out, quite nicely I would think! TheBrickMeister Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Wow, that does seem like a great potential for profit! You wouldn't even have to wait to resell these, you could just flip them immediately. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 My amateur research tells me this is a great opportunity.......the lack of responses to this post leads me to believe otherwise, I'm so lost! Quote

Ed Mack Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Yes, this could be a good deal. I bought several lots of these cases in the past and will watch this one closely. Good luck. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Silly me was thinking the winning bid would have been around 150.00 or so. still have 6 hours left and they are both around 220. I think these might get well over 300.00. Still some money to be made I guess. Quote

There were only a handful of watchers of this listing when you first posted it, now there are over 40. When you discover an overlooked opportunity, you should keep it to yourself. At least until after the auction - then (after you win it) you can reveal your score. If you put the time & effort into looking for hidden treasures (maybe a hidden printed leg boba in a pile of otherwise worthless minifigs) and no one else sees it - you are the one who deserves to be rewarded. I never intended to bid on either one of these auctions. That is why I posted the original post. I was hoping that someone from here bids and wins it. Like I stated previously, I do not have the time or the room to flip these. I assume someone that is reading this does though! Quote
Ed Mack Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 They should sell for well above $400. Quote
StarCityBrickCompany Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Dozens of cases of these Brickmaster sets seemed to show up out of nowhere a few months ago (these sets used to be pretty expensive). Same thing with the suposedly exclusive Darth Maul minifig packs. I never found any other official release on them & yet it seems like a never ending supply has continued to pour out from overseas. I know, because I wrote the EBAY seller. He had 30+ cases and I bought a couple. Quote

I bought a few cases myself - Early on, I was hoping that it was limited & that the market wouldn't get flooded (but then they just kept coming). Quote

That's why I backed off of those two listings today. I think the buyer still got a great deal at around $5-$6 a set. I got a nice deal off of the same seller. I bought 60 new in case Bionicle sets for $275. They are valued a little over $700. So not a bad day. Quote

Yea - I was tempted to avg down until they got up to about $5 a set, but even then too much is too much. You can get so caught up in the value, that you forget about the demand. Quote
dschooley Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 The seller now has a couple listing for Prince of Persia poly bags. I wouldn't mind picking one of those up, but I assume with the minifig it will go too high for me. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 Did anyone here win either one of these? At the price they went for there is money to be made. Quote

stephen_rockefeller Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 This is the same guy, he is from my area. If this was indeed a storage find, he hit the jackpot $$$$$$$$$ Quote
