Huskers1236
These will both sell well. The Clone will be very much on people's wanted list since they build Clone armies and will want this rank of soldier. I will be selling any that I get as I plan on spending in September. The van is really cool. More of a niche polybag, but anybody that has the Camper will want the mini as well.
TheDarkness
The trooper may resell better than you think because there was only one other time that it was released to the public. Average sold price of $150 recently on Bricklink. Some people gonna be reallllll mad
JoshTX
I already have 1 and would like to add some more but I have some other sets in my priority queue right now. I'd go with the Gungan Sub or even the Millennium Falcon to get both polybags but there's a big difference between their LEGO Shop at Home prices and Amazon.es's prices. <tears>Sadness tears flood my keyboard.</tears>
CNH1974
Man the exclusives are great for september.... Too bad im done with LEGO purchases for quite a long time Hah! Famous last words!! ;P One question, are the polybag freebies the same worldwide. Trying to remember the August one over here...
M4x18
I'm not sure but IIRC this year they have all been the same. One difference, the currency units you have to spend to get them. I'm hoping that September's polybags will be "cheaper" for us EU buyers. US LEGO Shop at Home shoppers have to lay out $50 for the SW polybag and $70 for the miniwagon. I hope it gets toned down for the EU LEGO Shop at Home sites.

Diabolos80
If anyone is feeling generous about selling their VW polybags, I'll take as many as I can get for $10 each. I plan to use them for stocking stuffers.

never2old4lego
Dumb question (since I've never actually been to a Lego store before)...you still get the bonus polybags if you make a purchase at the store, vs. online, right?

never2old4lego
Yes, assuming the store has the polybag in stock. Great, thanks! Do they give you some kind of credit or raincheck if they don't have the bags in stock?
comicblast
Great, thanks! Do they give you some kind of credit or raincheck if they don't have the bags in stock? Not that I know of, but stores usually don't run out, unless it is near the end of the month, and the polybag is about to discontinue. Thanks again! I'll order some stuff online, just to be sure I get them, but I'm hoping to get to my nearest Lego store (about 2 hrs away) for the first time in September. Scissorino
I am waiting til September to order - I want that VW! I'll be ordering the full size one too so it only seems right!
Huskers1236
Great, thanks! Do they give you some kind of credit or raincheck if they don't have the bags in stock? They'll just give you a Hoth Han that was leftover since it was such a piece of crap. I think it's rare that they run out, but if they do, I believe they give you an alternate that they do have in stock. Since I'm 3 hours from the nearest store, it's never been an issue. MartinP
Yes, assuming the store has the polybag in stock. You should see my local Lego store. When I went to buy a UCS Lego set, they were still giving away promos from the month before.
nessieslc
So, our local store should be opening towards the end of September, I wonder if they will get these in...

I was at the LEGO store in Downtown Disney on August 13th. Been there a few times this month looking for the Crawler or BTTF or going to Disneyland. I usually by a $3.48 Friends set just to get the free polybag. The cashier said they were out of the poly's (I am sure that store gets more traffic then most) and didn't offer up a replacement. I said that it was okay, but I am not going to buy the Friends set cause I just wanted that Ice Cream Stand. I am sure I could have pushed it and gotten a replacement, but I felt chincy as it was. seapotato
So I'm going to revive this thread since it is close to September. What are your plans on what to buy to maximize the promos for the least amount of money spent?
TheDarkness
I will be picking up a UCS R2-D2 with my vip points. Will look at a Haunted House later in the month
Etan
Hey anyone in UT the Lego store in fashion place mall is supposed to open in the end if September. So you will get opening day promos and September promo's.
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
So I'm going to revive this thread since it is close to September. What are your plans on what to buy to maximize the promos for the least amount of money spent? If you can get two minecraft sets and a small star wars set battlepack - $83 plus tax Minecraft sells for $50 on Ebay Part out minifigs from battlepack Sell VW and Clone Fig Conservative: Minecraft x2 = $100 Battlepack figs = $12 VW = $15 Clonefig = $15 total = $142 - 13% fees on Ebay/Paypal and $15 conservative shipping = $108 So $25 bucks return on an $83 investment within a week or so. Anyone like that?
seapotato
Don't you have to spend a minimumn of $50 star wars to get the clone trooper? One battlepack isnt enough?
Quacs
You have to spend $50 in SW Lego to get the Clone Trooper fig.
