DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 I guess thats Lego battling the people that picked up that minifig. Hope they already sold. Quote
ApesInCapes Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 This clone trooper is definitely how Lego should run all their promotions and exclusives. Advance release and then available to the public as an incentive to a purchase. Perfect. 4 Quote
comicblast Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Cool polybags...Beats that Hotdog stand anyday. I guess the CT isn't that exclusive...gives me hope! Maybe they will start giving Mr. Gold in an exclusive polybag or Azog! Quote

Plus since it's so accurate, we could put a large magnifying glass in front of the build, to make it look like we have the full sized thing. "Huh? Yeah. Of course I have a Volkswagen T1 Camper. See? Right there. Real thing too, and full sized!" 1 Quote

"Huh? Yeah. Of course I have a Volkswagen T1 Camper. See? Right there. Real thing too, and full sized!" You should do that. I would like to see how that turns out. Quote

JoshTX Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Sweet...this makes up for an awful August promo. Can't wait to grab these and get past the August heat wave. Quote
willy431 Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 That was dumb of lego to release the September promo info so early. Talk about back loading your sales! Sales in August are going to suck..but man....their order book for September is growing! I am holding all purchases until Sept. Now. Quote

Sales do August are going to suck..but man....their order book for September is growing! I am holding all purchases until Sept. Now. True that the general galaxy squad promo sucks but I just remembered the Friends ice cream stand with Friends set purchase....that one may still be a sleeper hit polybag. Quote
TheDarkness Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Considering the technic crawler LE and Delorean both came out at the start of this month I highly doubt Lego is that worried about people holding off 1 Quote

Eh - thats assuming that most people buy star wars and most people order over the purchase mark. I doubt they do. I think most of their sales come from children's parents. I doubt the median sale is over $75 Quote

It would be very interesting to know what the median sale really is though. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 I'm not so sure about that.......you can spend over 75 in the blink of an eye, its not hard at all.It really isn't. I should know from my 'little' purchases between Target and Walmart. You can easily spend $100 without realizing it....until you look at the receipt. Quote

For more Legos Quote

Other people earn more money to get a fancier car or bigger house but me, give me my Lego! :hyper: Quote
never2old4lego Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Sucks for people spending a fortune for that clone! sept2013s.jpg Wow, two great promos for September. Glad I'm not ordering anything from LEGO Shop at Home in August. (We won't mention all the sets purchased at Walmart this weekend. ) Thanks for posting that info! Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Totally. Other people earn more money to get a fancier car or bigger house but me, give me my Lego! I know right. Someone working with me drives a Lexus. My car moves just like his does and I paid 26K less for it! You know how many Lego sets that is over a 5 year loan time?!?!? 1 Quote
Fcbarcelona101 Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Great! Should get at least one with me Ewok Village!! Quote

This would almost seem like the did the promos perfectly. People will buy the LE and Delorean without any need for further incentive. Next months promo's will ensure people will keep buying. Quote

beeblet65 Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 So $7500 in the Lego store? who knows - maybe ill buy them off ebay when they are cheap - this is sure to go up! Quote
lowillsw Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Great! Should get at least one with me Ewok Village!! Exactly my same thought! The Target/Walmart clearances cleaned my clock this month but definitely the Ewok Village and most likely the Opera House for decoration. Quote
