tonysbricks
With no Christmas bump in sight I am ready to admit defeat. This build is so much better than the IP but terribad movie sank the set. My buy-in was good at $65 each so I am not complaining, just surprised it didn't take off during the end of 2014. I wouldn't count it out, especially since the teepee and stagecoach are doing fairly well.

The movie was a lot better than I thought it would be. I think the problem was they made a movie for adults and marketed it for children.
jaisonline
i'm going to hold onto the set for another 6-12 months. the ol' "kick the tires" one last time bit. it's a good looking set. hopefully, there will be demand then. train AFOLs should still like the set since it's easily powered by 9V or Power Functions. Ciglione
It's a great set. But it is not moving pricewise. Not even an inch. That is what makes me worry. Cause not moving is loosing. Maybe parting out is an option?
Miami Bomb Squad
I live in HK and the market price at retail is around usd70 What's a hot set now in Hong Kong? What Sets are collectors looking to buy?
mikechw
Train sets are not as popular as in the US, probably due to spaces.. Modular houses, Xmas themes, Super heroes are hot selling ..
fuzzy_bricks
I wouldn't count it out, especially since the teepee and stagecoach are doing fairly well. I'm not sure we're looking at the same set, looks to be fetching a little over retail. Stagecoach is better though. I'm not sure there is much desire for a western theme, but this may be all we get for a while. I wish they would do a Legorado remake. labfreak7
I have about 8 cavalry builders- seems to have at least doubled since I bought them
iahawks550
This Christmas will wipe out many of those that bought in at the $50 Wal-Mart clearance price. There will be a significant bump next year. I'm thinking $150 by Christmas 2015.

I think you might be right but I cashed most of mine out at a 60% profit because those funds are better used in other Lego endeavors (although another 40% profit from 2014-2015 is excellent)
