DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Star-Wars-Death-Star-10143-/151091102600?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item232dbb4388 Death Star 2 for 300 dollars. Says it might be 85% complete? Looks like not a lot of pieces though. Quote
MartinP Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I would not take a chance. I prefer a 100% complete set. I do not like looking for certain pieces to finish a set. Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 So tempting... I know right - I mean it could be a pretty decent score, but at the same time - that bag just looks so small. Quote
Fcbarcelona101 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I guess I'll pass and wait for something that is a little safer lol Quote
comicblast Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Looking at the Amazon weight for the DS II which is 17.2 pounds, it is fairly unlikely to be "about 20 lbs" unless the seller threw in a bunch of pieces not in the set. I'd steer clear of this one, even though it might be tempting. The bag doesn't even look to be close to 20 lbs... Quote
matt1147 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Ask him to post picture of it on a scale! Lol. Even then, you don't know if the pieces there are the ones that should be there. It's frustrating not being able to take a look in person sometimes! Quote
Hansolo55 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 That bag seems really small. I've personally put this set together that I purchased second hand complete, and it was pretty much a garbage bag full! This doesn't seem anywhere close to that Quote

Look at how small the 1 gallon bag on the left looks. You could fill several of them with the big bag that he has the parts in. My concern is the same as others, who's to say that the correct grey pieces are there? I also don't know offhand how much 10143 instructions go for, another big piece missing. Could be a great score, could be a money pit. Quote
kerrmando Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 125 sure. 300 nah. I'd skip it guys. Unless you really want to build the set yourself and don't care about having instructions. If so the only exclusive part In the set is I believe that sticker shown in the picture Quote

That's getting a little closer to money making range. Quote
