Guest Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Hello I wanted to ask if these Sets will retire this Year. So i can spend the money on other more important sets. 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush 79111 Constitution Train Chase 75020 Jabba Quote
Alcarin Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 So you think sets released a couple of weeks ago will retire in less than 6 months? 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush optimism at its finest 1 Quote
TheDarkness Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 The only one could be the Pet Shop, and that would be if Lego decided to pull multiple modular at the same time, similar to what they did with the Winter theme. That being said, I doubt it. Quote
Quacs Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 None of those will retire this year. Welcome back Rich! Quote
spener90 Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 None of those will retire this year. Unless Lego cans the Lone Ranger Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Only two that have any chance is Lone Ranger (like 1%) and pet shop (10%?) 1 Quote
Guest Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Next year could be that some of the sets retire i presume. Ok thank you. Quote
chinothegeeko Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 My guess is lone ranger will stick around until the dvd comes out then should be done after that. Quote
Darth Lego Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 The only set of those that might retire this year is the Pet Shop, but that is unlikely. I'm not trying to be critical considering you are new on here, but the 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush came out in the last month in the U.S. and the 75021 Republic Gunship is just coming out now. (I believe Europe has had those sets out for the last couple of months.) Generally non- UCS and non-modulars are out for two years before going EOL. (There are exceptions and every set is different.) None of those will retire this year.Welcome back, man! Quote
pickleboy Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Do we have a "dumbest question of the day" award here at Brickpicker? If so, I would like to nominate someone. Quote
Guest Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Sorry im new in Lego Investing! I have no idea how long Sets stay out before they are going EOL! Ok no problem. I can spend the money on other Sets before i invest in these. Thank you for the help. Quote

If they do have such an award, I should have won it by now. Probably twice. I demand my shiny ribbon! I'd like to thank the academy... Quote

redeemed763 Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Last years LOTR sets are retiring this year, as well as Monster fighters if you can still find them, the sets you mentioned will be around for awhile yet... a bit sad for a guy like me sitting on 8 pet shops. Quote
comicblast Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I doubt any of those sets will retire. They all came out this year... You should look for sets that were released before 2012 probably... Quote

spener90 Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 I don't think any of these sets will retire, but one of the sets from the Lone Ranger theme may retire? Similar to the Zombies last year. Just ride into the distance while none of us realize it... Quote
