Darth_Raichu
People need to make sure they put the CORRECT ADDRESS on their orders. How was it my problem when the items never reached them ?
Sprocket77
Sorry if this is flogging a dead horse and it's been asked a thousand times, but I couldn't find it in the search.I'm new to selling on ebay and was wondering what do you do when someone hasn't paid. In this case it's just three days, do I just sit on it for a few more days, or contact them about it?Thanks
SebastianJan
I usually wait 5 to 7 days. I then send the buyer an email asking if they are still interested in the item. If they say no then the buyer can send a cancel request. If the buyer does not respond to the 1st email I wait 2 days. I then send one more email. If the 2nd email is not responded to I then file an unpaid item case.
jbacunn
Might want to send a friendly reminder first via message asking them when they plan on paying. If they don't respond after a day then open an unpaid item case. To avoid this issue all together, set all of your items with immediate pay requirement. You might lose a few sells but will avoid a lot frustration.
Pseudoty
Lesson learned I posted an individual item for sale and also included a picture of the complete collection. Buyer claimed they were getting the entire collection for the rediculously low price. I got the feeling the scan eBay for listings like this so be carefull with your pics. binici
Had what looks like a Hong Kong user purchase 6869 from me, but my listing specifically says U.S. shipping only... Ugh! Waste of time and effort to cancel and relist the item. WTF would be do that? LOL
Alpinemaps
Got my first neutral feedback this weekend. Post office apparently beat up the box I sent a 9493 in. So he dinged me. He didn't ask for money back or contact me before hand, so I'm guessing he's legit about it. Oh well, can't win them all.

It's difficult to find just the right box and judge how much packaging material to use...The user could have asked you for a discount or some other resolution before jumping to conclusions?A buyer bought a 6868 from me and apparently it was missing the comic book and Hulk pieces, which I believe because I did find it at KMart, but he was smart to message me and as what I could do for him. I resolved it buy find an authentic Hulk and the comic book and offered to replace it. Let's hope he'll be happy and provide me with a positive feedback! feed
I buy 20kg bulk, turns up its 12.5Kg. Now, there are enough figs, high value and technics parts to make it worth keeping, so it ends up being a fair price, rather than an excellent. But still. 12.5kg isn’t even close to 20kg. So I message the seller, asking were the rest of it is. The response I get is; “The post office lady said it was 20kg, by the way, I’ve some vintage lego for sale, do you want to buy that?”#speechless

feed
Oh dear. That seller has one feedback for high value Lego sets, a Simpsons house at £169. Then 16 Helicarrier’s @ £169 per.Good luck.

Yep will do.Personally I think it will be fine, looks like a shop / warehouse clearance to me.The fact that they have only got feedback on one lego set doesn't really matter. Sold a lot of high value items at reduced prices with pos feed back.Worse case scenario, I have to get a refund through ebay.
feed
I hope you’re correct. I hope it wasn't from this guy as all his listings were just pulled...http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/cheapest-furniture-for-youAll of this moron's listings were using stolen images and the listing text (or lack thereof) was a dead give away that it wasn't the seller. And by the way, worst case scenario is that PayPal and eBay keep raising their fees to cover losses from this type of crap.
hepcatpunk
I generally ignore most questions I get and am doing so with this one as well, but I did appreciate their directness in regards to one of my BIN auctions:"Can you lower the price?"

stephen_rockefeller
NEWSFLASH: one of the reasons Ebay/paypal fees are astronomical is because of the "oh well if it's a scam they will protect me" mentality. Y'all wanna blame ebay and paypal for being greedy and having exorbitant fees when in actuality it's the people's greed that is a major cause of the stupidly high fees. Good job everyone.........golf clap.

Good job everyone.........golf clap.to be fair the fees have not changed much (in case of paypal not at all) and there is not an upward trend that would indicate they are trying to recover their costs associated with fraud through fees. in fact they have no-insertion-fee specials for targeted groups to encourage more listings. chezzzuk
The fees used to be at least 50% less when I started selling on ebay that was back in 2000!

Ebay's a business and the costs associated with fraud are a cost of doing business for them, of course they then pass that cost on to their customers. If Ebay's costs were lower, then they could charge less, so giving money to these crooks does at the end of the day cost us money. The no-insertion-fee specials are a marketing tool, it's not an example of them reducing fees. It's like saying it's ok that someone defrauded my insurance company, it's not because you end up paying more in your insurance because of it.
