Migration
Anytime someone calls something a "figurine", especially a minifigure, I want to put an icepick in my temple. I flipped a bunch of Hummels I got at a yard sale and described each and every one of them as a "figurine". I also routinely refer to mini figures as "figurines" when negotiating the purchase or sale price of a bulk lot. thlien
Think we need to setup an eBay sucks thread. I posted this originally in daily deals... but think it deserves it's own thread. Long story short, I ordered two of the TRU giftcards from my one and only ebay account on 10/22. Got the ban hammer from ebay. Call customer service and they said they would file a petition to correct and get back to me within 72hrs. Way past 72hrs and guess what? No response, called back and got a CS supervisor... claimed my account is linked to someone else who purchased gc. I was in violation of their rules. They have "strong proof" Crap, I work at a large corporation... what do they think we each have individual IPs? I am so pissed off... they even canceled the order for the TRU gc, though of course havent returned my money. I can't wait to see Brick Classifieds up and running... too bad it's just Lego. Really need competition vs Ebay. Unfortunately craigslist isnt it. Sorry for my rant. From other sites, seems like ebay likes banning / restricting accounts. I've heard of 3 other people falsely accused by ebay of violating their policy on this TRU deal.
DoNotInsertIntoMouth
I am mostly with you. I am killing probably 75% of my business on Ebay after Christmas. Love the site, but hate the people that run it.

Locutus001
Yeah thanks everybody, I got several answers now but I guess it's something only me and the seller can solve... o.O It's hard to lose money because of stupid mistakes... But better to learn now with small damage than later with big damage...
KShine
Someone just sent me a best offer - $6,000.00 for 2 10230 mini modular sets. Should I horrify them by accepting?
holleman67
Please do....
trekgate502
When does the $600 in fees hit your account? It will get reversed but not sure you want to deal with that hassle unless they do not charge your account until it is paid (I've never looked at that in all the hundreds of my sales). I would message them and not accept.
holleman67
It gets charged when the sale his through. The charge would get disputed and censored through eBay in which they would credit the account the final sales charge
trekgate502
Yeah that is what I thought I don't think I'd want the hassle of getting it credited out for a joke in return unless the offer is legit (message them) hahaha

TheBrickClique
Maybe they thought they were getting a true modular home. They wanted two to make a double-wide. That's what you get when you don't check the pictures. "But, Claudine, it looked a lot bigger in da picshures."
KShine
Yes, the fees would be charged to your account but not billed/deducted until the next billing cycle. It would be cleared up by then, but still not worth the hassle.
justapilgrim
So I am selling off some polybags, got into a bit of a price war with someone doing the same. Don't need a ton of profit, and I'm paying my kids to package/ship.....however.... my competition has been at "last one" for like three days, and sold his "last one" three times in the last hour I don't get the trick, what am I missing? KShine
Just be patient - Do you really need to sell it for as little as possible? If the seller is using best offer - he can be updating his quantity available, before he accepts it.

ravenb99
Depending on what software you use you can have it reload the inventory when it reaches 1. It would more than likely be automated software as its very hard to monitor the inventory enough so that you don't sell out. There's some pretty advanced programs out there. DadsAFOL
EBay also just released an option to "retain 0" listings. So you can let it go to zero and change it back to 1 multiple times. If that's your game.
justafrog
EBay also just released an option to "retain 0" listings. So you can let it go to zero and change it back to 1 multiple times. If that's your game. That is very interesting! I am afraid my reputation as being somewhat knowledgeable about eBay is going to suffer as time goes on - eBay is definitely taking a back seat in our future business plans and I won't have the time or need to stay cutting edge. This new option is good news, though, if it allows for keeping your search placement.
