inversion Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 The description tells me that this guy has his IQ in the negatives. 1 Quote

biniou Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 It's the signal that says "It's time to shut your PC for today, biniou, you have seen enough stupid stuff on the internet." 1 Quote
justafrog Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 It falls under the chance/ grab bag rules: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-bonus-prize-giveaway-raffle.html I haven't read these in so long (and didn't today) that I have no idea if the listing is eBay-legal, but it's definitely eBay-stupid and leaves the seller open to SNAD, bad feedback, etc. Quote
inversion Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) It's the signal that says "It's time to shut your PC for today, biniou, you have seen enough stupid stuff on the internet." Here is a good bye for today then. Fits well the auction. Edited October 5, 2014 by inversion Quote
andrewmac Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 It looks like the winner will receive 11 minifigures. Quote
tractorboy Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) It's an idiotic listing. Obviously no-one will bid for more than 10 figs worth. Although, there probably are people dumb enough out there to think they might get 50.... Edited October 5, 2014 by tractorboy Quote
Huskers1236 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 The same people that buy the Series 10 mystery packs for $20 that MIGHT have a Mr. Gold will be the same morons that bid on this auction. 1 Quote
loki1244 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Here's a question. I have an auction that is listed as domestic shipping only. A guy bid and then sent me a message asking if i shipped internationally. I informed him that i didn't and he was outbid. I thought that was the end of it. He's outbid two other people since that mail. What should i do? Quote

He's outbid two other people since that mail. What should i do? Keep his money and don't send the item! ;-) I'd open a chat session with eBay and ask for him to be blocked and have bids removed. If you've clearly mentioned no international shipping and disabled it in postage section, you're covered otherwise you have no choice but to ship it. Quote
loki1244 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Thanks, I'll do the second thing while thinking about the first you suggested Quote
hxckid88 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Better option for you. Go into your settings click opt in on global shipping. If you refuse to ship international why would you not have gs.... You're just leaving money on the table. Quote
loki1244 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I haven't used global shipping yet. If I have a set price for shipping will it recalculate for international? Quote
hxckid88 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 All the details of global shipping are of no concern to you. The pricing shipping etc is exactly as if you sold to someone state side. Example.... You sell an item. For x dollars. You ship item to Kentucky all import fees etc etc are handled between eBay and the buyer. They know what they are paying beforehand. If you have any other questions concerning this feel free to pm me. Quote

jaisonline Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 this...i only sell internationally via gsp. i only use insured usps priority express international and sometimes global express. buyer pays. ebay and buyers already control most of the transaction. at least i dictate the shipping terms. does it provide me more of an advantage? no idea but i feel better. spener90 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Anyone else selling items on eBay might have come across the countless fake Lego items from China, often using the Lego name (ex. Ninjago). Aren't these considered contraband? They are blatant rip offs of the actual Lego sets. I have actually had a few people contact me lately asking if my items are actually real Lego. Quote
tonysbricks Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) I thought GSP was set it and forget it until I made an order mistake. It cost an insane amount of money to fix. It was cheaper to let the customer keep the item I sent in error and I had to pay 2x the replacement's value to ship a new one. In the end I was out 3x what the item sold for. When you pack up international orders you need to check, double check, and then check again that you got it right. Edited October 8, 2014 by tonysbricks Quote
hxckid88 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 If anyone has any questions regarding gsp feel free to message me. I have a ton of experience with using it and know the policy well concerning it. Quote

No, they're not contraband. Contraband items are those that have been imported or exported outside the laws of the respective countries/regions. These are, however, violations of trademarks. It's up to TLG and the license holders (Marvel, DC, etc.) to identify and file for their removal. eBay is in no position to determine a real vs. fake minifig or set -- not their job, nor do they have the expertise. So far, TLG and Marvel, DC, etc. don't seem to care much. If these items are listed in the LEGO categories, many of us have had success in reporting them and having them removed. Edited to add: http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/2804-knockoff-brands-bootleg-bricks-mimicked-minifigures/ is a thread that covers the issue extensively. 1 Quote

I do not use the GSP (many negatives, and the few positives I found were short lived - as they turned into traps) - I have tried it a couple times, and it wasn't beneficial. If it is the only way you would ship internationally, then of course it should be used - but if you are already shipping internationally on your own, you are better off. Quote
Undercover Boss Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 There is another way to get these out of the market and it is thru the SNAD. It takes time and $ (you get it back), but the outcome is that the seller gets banned. Quote

Guest brickcrazyhouse Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 most have now taken the word lego out of the title or at least say "compatible w/ lego". check out the link Mrs. Frog suggested, but be prepared to bang your head against the wall. Quote
cosmic brick Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 hxckid88 I've used GSP once and found it to be very effortless on the shipping end. What I was uneasy about was the return process if a refund had to be given. I was under the impression the seller is pretty much on his own in getting the item back. Am i mistaken? Quote
